Do Acrylic Panels Really Help Prevent Droplet Spread? | The Side That Blows Air

Hello, everyone

This is Enta.

I attended a training session the other day.

There, acrylic panels were installed on each desk, so it looked something like this lol

COVID-19 Countermeasures

What do you think?

The training session takes place surrounded by acrylic panels on all sides.

Well, it's part of the measures to combat the novel coronavirus, after all.

Since every seat has an acrylic partition, if you sit in the back row, the acrylic partitions overlap in multiple layers.

The downside is that the overlapping acrylic panels make it impossible to read the text on the screen in front of me lol

That's putting the cart before the horse, isn't it? lol

Also, there's a whiteboard on the left side of the photo.

The instructor writes characters there.

If you look at the photo above, you can see something reflected on the whiteboard, right?

This is a screen made of acrylic sheet that reflects light.

So you can't see the whiteboard lol

However, even though the instructor is writing on the whiteboard with all his might, I can't see a thing.

I'm starting to laugh now lol

It's just a completely pointless piece of acrylic—and besides, who's even going to talk during the training session??

"Transmission through droplets?? What's that all about?" (I mean, sure, people cough and stuff, but everyone's wearing masks lol.)

What's more, in a room with about 30 people, quite a few of them are nodding off.

This is the reason!!

This is why I used to get sleepy or zone out at the construction site office!!

I held out for quite a while too, but I'm absolutely sure this is it lol

If you're going to take measures like this, I think it would be better to just use a fan at the front to blow air and circulate it.

Circulator

I think it would be perfect if you used a circulator to keep the air moving and also had an air purifier running.

He said it's much more effective than putting in an acrylic sheet.

And if you can bring it into the training venue, this air purifier is a must-have!

Air Dog

The AirDog is a bit pricey, but it’s a highly rated air purifier that’s very easy to clean, so I highly recommend it.

I have one at home, too!

COVID-19 CountermeasuresI feel just like an insect trapped inside an acrylic panel, lol.

I don't think this can really be called a solution.

That's probably just an excuse to deal with a complaint.

Well, I guess there are bound to be people who say such silly things, so I suppose there’s nothing to be done about it...

At the construction site office, we’ll measure carbon dioxide levels while constantly circulating the air with a fan and using an air purifier to filter it all out!

It's not like you have to do absolutely everything, but I think it's much better than having the air stagnate because of the acrylic sheet.

There are also many articles that claim acrylic sheets are ineffective.

If you think about it normally, it’s only natural that droplets would float away, right? lol

I think wearing a mask is by far the most reliable way to prevent the spread of droplets.

See you later
