Melting and Cutting at 4,000 Degrees | Gas Cutting Technology

It turns out I'll be cutting sheet piles starting a few days ago lol

Well, after a few twists and turns, I'm using Lancer to cut it.

 

So, have you heard of the "Lancer Stick"?

It's a long rod, about 2 to 3 meters, like this, and you use it by inserting the oxygen hose from the back.

It was completely soaked from the rain the day before, but it was removed in a few hours using Suipon.

Because of that, it was hard for Uncle Lancer to do his job, so after that he just laid down some scaffolding planks and used a Lancer pole lol

 

As shown in the photo, oxygen is forced out from the tip of a long rod, and the temperature at the tip reportedly exceeds 4,000 degrees.

So I'll just keep chopping (and melting) away.

It cuts more than two to three times faster than conventional gas cutting.

Since there's soil behind the sheet piles, they're even harder to cut through.

Cutting a Lancer Rod

At the same time, the lancer staff itself is getting shorter and shorter.

At first, it's long and hard to use, but it becomes more convenient toward the end—though it runs out quickly.

I guess this is what they mean by "every coin has two sides," lol.

Finally, it’s finished—it’s been shortened down to about this length.

The rod itself doesn't get very hot, so you can hold it in the middle while working.

 

But its speed really is second to none.

Using standard gas cutting, it takes about 30 minutes to drill a hole in a sheet pile.

The Lancer rod is a bit pricey, but considering the speed, it’s definitely worth the money.

I highly recommend it.
