In the field of private slope and stone wall construction, these three methods account for the vast majority of projects (for the general public).

Lately, I’ve been getting quite a few calls for private construction projects, such as reinforcing stone walls and stabilizing slopes at private homes; after conducting a survey, clients request that I carry out the work.

This is a very common pattern.

From a design perspective, we often use empirical methods during construction, but,

Since it doesn't require as much strength as public structures, we've designed it simply to prevent it from collapsing.

(In some cases, stability calculations as well)

 

The issue at the site described above is a shift caused by the stone masonry bulging outward and the outflow of soil from inside.

This project involves installing rebar on the surface of the masonry, followed by sprayed mortar, rebar insertion, and drainage work.

As long as you do at least this much, private slopes will be fine.

 

Lately, I've been making a point of including water drainage in particular.

In the end, it all comes down to how to drain the water, doesn't it?

It looks like it's going to boil down to that.

After all the different experiences I've had—with construction, construction management, and design—I've come to realize that drainage really is the key, lol.

That's the deal, lol

Before I start doing complicated calculations or thinking things through, I'll just drain the water for now.

That's the general idea, I guess.

 

Going forward, private-sector measures to prevent collapse will be,

Surface Treatment (surface appearance), Rebar Installation (measures to prevent thin-layer collapse), and Drainage Work (measures to counteract sudden soil pressure during heavy rain)

It looks like that's how it's going to turn out.

Well, I'll come up with some "convenient" evidence, I suppose.

(I'll make all sorts of things when the Red Zone is lifted.)

 

A project of this scale is going to cost quite a bit of money.

I think it would take a great deal of resolve for a private citizen to release this.

That said, I’m committed to ensuring the work is done thoroughly and reliably, but,

It looks like we're going to end up injecting about 10 times the planned amount at that site—it's pretty funny lol.

It's hard to bring that up as a change, lol

Well, if all it takes is some cement and a few workers, I guess I’ll just have to grit my teeth and get the job done.

Since I absolutely didn't want any construction defects, I decided to pour it in generously,

I ordered 300 bags of cement for next Monday lol
