With a little ingenuity, you can achieve even the impossible | Ingenuity

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Two days ago, I was overseeing construction in Aichi Prefecture.

Drilling Machine

It was a sunny day that really made me feel like spring was here, and the pollen was pretty bad.

I thought my hay fever had cleared up, but with all this pollen in the air, my nose is running a little.

It was the kind of weather where you felt the heat the moment you moved a little.

And yesterday, I went to Ina City in Nagano Prefecture

Ina

In stark contrast, the temperature is minus 2 degrees...

That 15-degree temperature difference...

That temperature swing is really tough on an old guy like me, lol.

We are drilling holes for rebar insertion in Ina.

We are using the Spring Drill 40II for drilling.

Because of the direction in which the slope was cut, the height of the slope frame varies, and if we adjust the scaffolding to match that, some areas will end up higher and others lower.

For that reason, we have the scaffolding set up as close as possible to the limit where drilling is still possible, but when it’s too high, we often can’t drill.

Here's how to handle that situation. This is a trick made possible by the fact that this drill is lightweight and capable of vertical drilling.

Simply put, if it's too high, just raise the machine.

Spring Drill 40 II

If you lay the batten at an angle just at the front like this, you'll be able to create the desired angle.

Since the machine will become unstable at this point, please secure the front in two places using lever blocks.

If possible, securing a single steel pipe to the back would make it perfect.

Since the spring drill itself is lightweight, it can be a bit unstable.

Please carry out this type of work with a full understanding of these points.

If you determine that the use is off-label or dangerous, you should refrain from doing so. Please follow the instructions of the general contractor in this regard.

However, since we're on the front lines, we can't just sit around daydreaming.

Let's figure out a way to make this pipe dream a reality.

I'll do my best to make it happen.

We'll carry out the work so that it can be implemented.

Ensure that the finished product meets the required specifications and quality standards.

See you later.
