Understanding Target Values Makes Construction More Enjoyable | Numerical Management

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

My day off the other day went exactly as planned.

I ended up having a bowl of Tokachi pork rice, even though it wasn't part of my plans.

If you make plans even on your days off, you'll be able to fully enjoy them.

Actually, the same is true on the job.

While there are a few master craftsmen who are mindful of their craft, many just go about their work without much thought.

That's why it never ends, isn't it?

(To act aimlessly means to do things without a purpose.)

There are quite a few, but,

"If I really put my mind to it, I could finish this much." "I could sell even more." "I'm not giving it my all yet."

People like that just end up not giving it their all lol

It's just a load of nonsense.

People who can't give it their all on a regular basis will never be able to do so in their entire lives. That's just common sense around the world, lol.

Just saying

It’s always the people who say things like that who are the best at making excuses!

And in the end, I end up running away, though lol

I think you can usually get a pretty good sense of construction efficiency on a day-to-day basis.

If you're an experienced climber, you can climb several routes on this mountain in a single day.

I think you'll understand that, as long as it's within the legal limits, you can generally go up to about X meters.

ThatThe target is to exceed it just a littleThat's right.

The reason I set my goal just a little beyond my current level is that I tend to let my guard down.

People tend to let their guard down the moment they exceed their goals.

When people let their guard down, they tend to make mistakes during construction or engage in behavior that can lead to accidents.

It's just right when it's a challenge—whether you can make it or not.

Even if you go over, you can think of it as saving up for tomorrow.

Also, toward the latter half of the mission, there are times when you can easily get past it.

That isMy skills improved on the jobIt means [...].

This means we are now able to carry out construction work suited to that mountain.

When it comes down to it, I find myself wanting to exceed that goal every day.

You can go beyond your daily goals and achieve your ultimate objective.

Our ultimate goal on-site is to complete the construction project. To that end, we set specific milestones along the way.

Goals and Objectives

People who can't do it just get discouraged, while those who can keep striving for more and more.

Will I live a life of decay, or will I strive for more and more, surpassing my goals?

Which one is better?

Whether the site is small or large, and regardless of the type of project, the target values don’t vary that much.

The difference between people who always have goals and those who don't becomes enormous even over the course of just a few years.

Let's set our own goals every day and put them into practice.
(If you say it out loud, the combination of motivation and pressure will help you focus better.)

Doing that will make your work more enjoyable.

See you later.
