What about retaining wall anchors on steep slopes?
Doesn't it look something like this?
On a steep slope, right in front of a private home, in a spot where even a crane can’t get in—and they’re doing this...
This design doesn't take construction into account at all, lol.
But then again, I suppose this is just part of the design concept, so there’s nothing we can do about it.
So, building scaffolding level by level for this project would result in a lot of wasted effort, and a crane can’t even get in there...
After debating with the scaffolding contractor, I decided to go with the diagonal approach!
This is how it turned out.
I made the casing stand out of single-wall pipes at an angle, lol.
A single-wall pipe is placed under the casing stand to prevent it from sliding down.
The machine and the casing stand are also connected from above using a lever block.
The slope was a little over 18 degrees.
At the toughest point, it was just under 20 degrees.
I had no choice but to push through and do this job here, but I can't really recommend it lol
The machine is secured from above with a 1.6-metric-ton chill hole and tightly fastened at the front with a lever block, so it won't move.
However, the downside is that the ground can be slippery around a moat.
It's no big deal if there are two of us working on it, but it definitely makes it easier to keep things level.
(I’d probably get in trouble for doing this at a major company’s worksite, lol)
In the photo above, you can see that some boards have been nailed to the side of the scaffolding. The reason is that it’s too slippery to climb up, lol.
How to be as creative as possible on-site to ensure maximum safety,It is our duty as a contractor to minimize construction time as much as possible.
That's what I think.
