The new fiscal year has begun.
The workload is pretty light at the start of the year.
That said, since last year’s budget was slightly lower than the year before last, it might have seemed smaller, but it actually appears to have remained surprisingly stable.
Since this year is much the same as last year, the workload should be about the same, but I feel like work is starting later than usual—perhaps because of COVID-19.
Even the people around me—who usually never call—are suddenly asking, “Want me to help out with work?” when they’re out of work lol
When I said, “I don’t have any either, though,” they replied, “Oh, really? Good luck with that, lol”...
Some of our carryover construction projects have been delayed time and again, and there are even sites that are now in their second year, but progress is still slow.
In fact, since construction projects in the surrounding area haven’t come to a halt either, the number of bids is steadily increasing.
It's true that it feels a bit late, though.
I think we’ll soon be facing another sudden shortage of workers, so I think the general contractor should make sure to secure its subcontractors properly.
It's highly likely that things will be pushed back this year to make up for the delay, so the end of the fiscal year is shaping up to be a total mess.
Please make sure to plan out the process thoroughly starting from the earthwork phase, lol.
Since we often handle the final stages of construction after the earthwork is complete, there are times when we simply can’t do anything even if we’re pressured to hurry when there’s no room in the schedule.
Let's do our best this year while prioritizing safety and not pushing ourselves too hard!
