Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.

Have you heard of this?
I haven't been out on site much lately—I've mostly been doing office work—so I didn't know, but it's a CO2 concentration sensor.
So, what does this tell us? Well, it tells us the carbon dioxide concentration in that room, lol.
During our morning meeting, this reading was fluctuating around 1,500 ppm.
At first I was like, “Huh?”, but when I looked closely, I saw that it had gone beyond “OK” and entered the orange zone. (I took this photo after the meeting ended.)
But right in the middle of the meeting, we were in the red zone at 1,500 ppm lol
At the time, I thought, “Oh, really?” But since I didn’t quite understand it, I went home and looked into it, and discovered something interesting.
According to the Building Standards Act, it seems the level must not exceed 1,000 ppm.
However, at the time of the meeting, the number was already around 1,500.
There were six people at that time.

Appropriateness Standards
● 1,000 ppm or less……The air is clean. Maintain the CO2 concentration at this level.
● 1,000–1,500 ppm……Within the acceptable range. It’s sufficient to open a few windows in the room occasionally to ventilate.
● 1,500 ppm–2,500 ppm……Poor reading. You may experience drowsiness or fatigue. Open the windows fully for a few minutes every 30 minutes to ventilate the room. Refrain from using the room until the CO2 concentration drops.
● 2,500 ppm or higher……This is a very high level. Keep the windows fully open at all times to ventilate the room and avoid using the room until the concentration level drops.
To be honest, there’s a chance that six people might not remember what we discussed this morning...
That's because he might have been rambling in a daze due to drowsiness or fatigue, and his brain may have been in an abnormal state.
Furthermore, the higher the CO2 concentration becomes, the more workability and efficiency decline.
There’s a very real possibility that this goes far beyond just “KY” behavior.

It’s true—up until now, we’ve been holding meetings with subcontractors at various job sites, haven’t we?
I think more than half were struggling with drowsiness and fatigue, while the other half were asleep.
So that was basically due to a lack of oxygen, huh? lol
What's more, we're in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic right now, so everyone is wearing masks.
So, if you're wearing a mask and you're in an environment with such high concentrations of carbon dioxide, you're basically screwed, lol.
It is said that even at a concentration of 1,000 ppm while wearing a mask, people may experience a loss of concentration or a decline in work efficiency.
It seems like keeping the windows open while using the heater or air conditioner is becoming a must these days. (I wonder if it's hot or cold... lol)
In any case, ventilation seems to be the quickest solution. (An exhaust fan works too.)
I wish I hadn't found out about it either, but now that I do, I just had to buy this sensor, so I went ahead and ordered it lol
I'm looking forward to it lol
Everyone, let's keep an eye on the CO₂ levels inside the site office.
The reason my work isn't getting done might be the carbon dioxide levels, lol.
See you later
