Manage your photos as needed, but make sure to establish clear standards for yourself so you can explain them!

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

It's August!!

There are only 5 months left in the year!!

It's extremely hot right now, but there are just under two months left until it cools down!

Let's take it slow and make sure to take plenty of breaks along the way.

Photo Management

I received a question the other day about photo management, so I thought I'd write a post about it.

Generally speaking, when it comes to construction project management,

Standard Specifications for Civil Engineering Works

...serves as the standard.

Well, that’s just common sense, but when it comes to photo management, it says “as appropriate.”

As appropriate!

What on earth is "tekigi"?!??

That's how it works.

The act of doing something in a way that is appropriately suited to the situation at hand. Appropriate.

Everyone should do as they see fit. It’s up to you.

In practical terms, this means “making the right judgment based on the situation and taking the shot accordingly.”

The key question here is how to define “as appropriate.”

Even though I say it’s just a rough estimate, that’s not how you manage things.

That's why we include it in the construction plan.

For example, in finished product inspection, there’s a process called “total count inspection,” but that doesn’t mean you have to take photos of every single item.

I’ll take the measurements, but I don’t need any photos. (Though I’ll actually take some just to be on the safe side—lol.)

Photography

Unless otherwise specified, I generally set it at 5% of the total.

We'll film all of that 5% from the same angle so that the flow is clear.

I think it makes the flow easier to follow when you watch it that way.

We're just doing it this way based on the results of past inspections, though.

If there are no rules, we can simply create some so that we can explain them clearly, and once the government approves them, that’s all that’s needed.

Instead, if any changes arise, let’s submit a revised construction plan along the way to ensure consistency.

If there aren't many items in total, I might take pictures of all of them, or I might take pictures of all of them just in case I forget to take a picture of something, and so on,

It often ends up being like, “So I have to do all of this?” lol

Photos are the most important thing of all, so let's make sure to take some great ones!

However, it's fine to do it as needed!!

See you later.
