Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
Last Sunday, I was hanging out with an old friend around a construction site where slope stabilization work was being done.
Recently, we’ve been looking into ways to make the most of the land by implementing measures on the slopes of such properties, even if only slightly. (Although there are various obstacles to overcome.)

It's getting late on the way home, and it's getting dark outside (around 8:00 p.m.)
It’s been getting dark earlier these days, so it’s already pretty dark around 6:00, isn’t it?
When I drive on the highway between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m., I often find myself reminiscing about the past.
Especially during my time in Kyushu.
I'm just driving along the highway, zoning out, after finishing up at the job site.
A memory where all sorts of feelings—like “I’m so tired,” “Ah, another day’s over,” and negative thoughts like “What am I even doing here?”—all mixed together, while the orange streetlights along the highway were blinding.
And then, after I get home, I'll go back to the office to take care of paperwork and make arrangements.
I think back then, the annual construction volume was about 150 million yen per construction employee.
It's one of those times when you're insanely busy regardless of whether it's the end of the fiscal year, and whatever you do, you make money, lol.

If music from back then suddenly started playing on the radio right now, memories from that time would probably flood back all at once, like a flashback, and I’d remember all sorts of things, wouldn’t I?
Hard times, tough experiences, a sense of accomplishment, failures—even though 80 percent of my memories are negative and difficult, there are still a few good ones scattered here and there, like, “Oh, that’s right, it was like this,” or “Oh, it was like that.”
If it weren't for those experiences and emotions, I wouldn't be here today.
I hadn't been sharing this kind of information with everyone, but now I can look back and think, "I'm glad I went through all that hardship back then." (It's still tough, lol.)
You've all been there, right?
Or perhaps you're currently going through a tough or difficult time.
The end of the fiscal year coming up might be a nightmare.
Even so, it is by not running away but facing the challenge head-on that we are where we are today.
(Depending on the situation, you might get emotionally drained, or if things just aren't working out, you may need to call for backup and face the challenge together.)
It’s your past self that shapes your present, so try to recall some of the difficult times you went through in the past.
ThisThinking back on the past is a great way to relieve stress.Apparently, that's what happens. And talking about it makes it go away even more!!
So I realized that this basically means older guys relieve their stress by telling stories from the past, and since young people are just the outlet for that stress, they don’t want to hear about their old exploits or hardships…
When an older guy reminisces about the past, it’s okay to share those stories only with the people who were actually there at the time (seniors and juniors)—since they’ll understand—but he shouldn’t tell them to the younger folks.
I think I've come to realize that it's nothing but pain.
See you later.
