One of our employees was moving to Nagano today, so I drove him there.
The conversation turned to safety harnesses, and eventually we got to the question of what to do about full-body harnesses.
Are you just going to buy products from various manufacturers and try them out?
Are we going to stick with just one manufacturer?
However, since there isn't anything that suits us slope contractors, we're still unable to make a decision.
Maybe I'm just not aware of it...
For now, the result is that,
Buy an inexpensive full-body harness and use a standard safety harness designed for slopes.
That's how it turned out.

This model is priced in the 6,000-yen range at MonotaRO.
Since the law strictly requires a full-body harness, I'll probably use this type along with a standard safety harness for slopes.
No one seems to consider the problem of having a rope running behind you when working on a slope, so I find myself wondering, “What am I supposed to do?”
So you use Lollipop up front, and Lifeline comes in from the back, lol.
I feel like it would be a waste if we didn't create something that takes the industry a little more into account.
Assuming we use a lifeline later on,
When you fall, do you end up lying on your side, twisted between the rope in front of you and the lifeline behind you?
If the lifeline is set slightly loose, the rope in front tightens, so it forms a diagonal shape with the head at the bottom?
Either way, if you're falling, you wouldn't end up hanging by your back the way you'd want with a full harness, right? lol
Come to think of it, I guess it might actually be better if the lifeline were at chest level...
We need to conduct more experiments in this area in accordance with the law (including hearings, etc.).
Should we reevaluate product development as well? It seems like it might be necessary.
I'm going to try out a few different things at home and see what I think.

This is a full-body harness designed exclusively for Light Industry, isn't it?
These also come in separate and integrated types, and since they're designed for slope construction, I don't think there will be any issues.
However, since this is exclusive to Light Industry, it is likely that only contractors performing work for Light Industry can purchase it.
Also, it looks like there'll be a version just for Nittoku Construction, lol.
It looks like we can buy it either way, but we'll see how it goes.
I suppose it all comes down to what happens with the supply.
Even if it goes into effect, there’s a very real possibility that the necessary items won’t be available by then.
I think Fujii Denko has been working like crazy lately! lol
I see—so it’s not easy to get, is it? If these are guidelines from the government, it would be nice if they offered some kind of subsidy for purchasing them.

There are actually quite a few grants available for full-body harnesses, but since they won't be approved unless you actually have the equipment, I don't have any right now lol.
It appears that products exclusively for Light Kogyo are sold by Light Kogyo Sales, while OEM products are sold by Fujii Denko.
Prices apparently range from 20,000 to just under 50,000. (Separate-type and integrated-type)
It looks like things will start picking up around April of next year.
