Well, I'm like, "What on earth is this? lol," but,

Let's improve the flow of money between prime contractors and subcontractors, shall we?I guess that's how it is.

 

With construction projects, there are sometimes promissory notes involved, right?

Well, sure, the big companies are one thing, but for small and micro-sized independent contractors like us,

It's a matter of life and death.

If the site reaches 120 or so, it’s going to be really tough.
(This does not apply if it is only for construction.)

It could end up with us having to use a promissory note to make the payment.

It's like saying, "Let's set clear legal boundaries to ensure a clean relationship between both parties," isn't it?

To avoid situations where you’re told you’ll lose the job if you don’t agree to discounts or price reductions that differ from the contract...

 

That said, this is our construction industry.

It is said that, due to labor and contractor shortages, there will be fierce competition for construction contractors.

It seems construction costs are rising rapidly.

Even though construction costs have risen, the wages of construction company employees have also increased.
(Wages are rising to address the labor shortage)

 

It’s certainly a good thing that subcontractors are protected by law, but,

Are you anticipating that the general contractor might eventually reach a point where there’s nothing they can do?
(Who Are the Truly Vulnerable?)

Is this the era when subcontractors are cutting ties with general contractors!?

It's hard to strike that balance, isn't it...
