Well, it's a three-day weekend starting today! lol

Do you know about this year's long weekend?

Wow!

Apparently, there are as many as 11 three-day weekends!!

Isn't this seriously crazy?

Will the construction ever be finished??

Furthermore, the overtime cap regulations related to the “2024 Problem” will take effect in April.

Starting in April, I won’t be able to work as much anyway due to overtime restrictions, and if I’m on a full two-day weekend schedule with Saturdays and Sundays off, then,

The only way to handle this is to extend the construction schedule, right?

I hear even the major general contractors are having a hard time with this issue...

Since the general contractor is taking time off, we subcontractors will inevitably have to take time off as well.

If that happens, the construction period tends to get longer and the contract price tends to go up, doesn't it?

If the overall national budget remains unchanged, will the volume of construction work definitely decrease, leading to a price war?

Or will the market find its balance and settle into a new normal as the number of vendors drops sharply?

However, since the cost of living is rising, it does give the impression of deflation.

The year has only just begun, but considering the state of the world and other factors, it’s a time filled with anxiety.

If the area is designated as a severe disaster zone due to the earthquake, construction projects nationwide will be affected as well.

Given the “2024 Problem” and the issue of the numerous long weekends in R6, it looks like this year will be one where we’ll need to give a lot of thought to various matters and get our systems in place.
