How to Do Something Safely | A Mindset for Preventing Human Error

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Now that the first three days of the New Year are over,

Work starts on the 5th, so my vacation ends today.

Did everyone enjoy their day off without getting hurt?

I went snowboarding with my kids for the first time in a year, but,

It's really tough.

This is harder than work, lol.

I'll take the lift twice using my multi-ride pass, and that's it for me.

Since the kids are used to being active, this is no big deal for them.

Since I don't usually exercise, if I try to go all out playing sports, I'm bound to get hurt lol

But that's beside the point.

I’m always thinking about how to safely carry out a task (construction work).

If you just do things the way you usually do—like this and like that—accidents won't happen!

That's what everyone always says. (I say it, too.)

When you actually try it, what they say and what they do are two different things.

This is commonly referred to as "human error."

Even though I know how to avoid accidents,

Before I knew it, I was doing things in a way that was prone to accidents.

The reason is that when I’m speaking, I can express my thoughts in a way that accurately takes safety into account. (I know that.)

However, when it comes time to actually carry it out, we end up doing it the easy way (or the way that suits us best).

That means,This means they engage in unsafe behavior on a daily basis.

Once you get used to the easy way, it’s hard to break the habit.

However, once you’ve learned it the safe way and it becomes second nature, it actually starts to feel a bit strange.

To consistently master safe and accurate methods,

It means acting safely and accurately on a daily basis.

As is true of just about anything,

Don't neglect your daily life.

By doing so, you'll be able to safely and accurately carry out the work.

Don't neglect your daily life.

This is incredibly important.

See you later.
