Considering your own line of work, which of these would you recommend to children or others?

What do you all think?

 

If salespeople don't bring in business, we can't put our advanced technical skills to use.

But without technical skills, the sales team can't land any deals, right?

 

Even if the sales team is top-notch and brings in a ton of work, if the technical staff isn't up to par, you won't be able to keep getting work afterward, right?

Neither one can be missing—they’re both essential.

It’s no good if the salesperson is rude, after all~

 

Many salespeople at major general contractors started out working on construction sites.

After all, he's a salesperson with technical expertise, so he's unbeatable.

If you don't know the technical details during a site meeting, the discussion won't go anywhere.

 

In small and medium-sized businesses like ours, it’s often the case that the president handles all of that.

It depends on the size of the company and the number of managers, lol.

Looking at this data, you’d think that technical jobs really do come in handy, wouldn’t you?

Since I'm on the technical side too, I feel the same way.

As expected, technical skills will always come in handy, no matter where you go!

 

However, in a sense, sales is a skill that can be applied at any company.

There are some real pros out there who can sell even things that don't sell.

When it comes to salary, I get the impression that sales positions pay better for people like that.

Or rather, there's no ceiling, lol.

It depends on the person which one is better, but I really do feel that I’m glad I went into civil engineering.
