I was creating a comparison table of concrete and mortar mix proportions as part of some materials I'm putting together in Africa.
The reason is, I couldn't explain what "low-mix mortar" is, lol.
It’s true that even if you can express it in Japanese, it’s a different story when it comes to English.
And this is even more true when it comes to developing countries.
So, with that in mind, I gave it a try and created this illustration.
Although the exact ratio isn't specified, lean mortar has a mix ratio of 1:6 or higher.
To be honest, the "mortar" of past legal frameworks and such... (I'll hold back on that one)
There are variations depending on the type of sand, and the strength differs as well, right?
When I think about it, there's surprisingly little cement in the concrete...
Well, since it contains aggregate, it doesn't seem like there would be a problem, but...
It's really hard to create something that's immediately clear at a glance.
I’ve been thinking about all sorts of things for the first time in a while lol
I really do think it was a good thing that I used to prepare all kinds of documents and reports back then.
Experience and knowledge really do come in handy, don't they!
But the food in Africa is delicious!!
