Is paying close attention to the details (thoughtful workmanship) the key to survival as a contractor?

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Clip Spacer

These are clip spacers, which we’ve been getting a lot of inquiries about lately from people in the construction industry.

Since it was primarily designed for use by rebar installers, it seems to be being used in ways we never expected.

For example, since there doesn't seem to be a spacer for the cross-ribs directly to the side, it can be used as a spacer for the cross-ribs, or

Running it through electrical conduit... Is it used for something?

It’s not exactly a construction error, but even though we took the trouble to drill such a clean hole, we can’t get the rebar to line up in the center.

It's not quite right, is it?

When it comes specifically to rebar insertion tools, there are no products in which the spacers actually function.

Since it’s absolutely impossible for the intersection to be exactly in the center, that’s why clip spacers were invented, you know~

Clip Spacer

All that's left is to carefully control the injection so that it lands right in the center of the intersection, and then wait for it to cure—and it'll be perfect.

If the position of the drilled hole is off—or if the voids are misaligned—the position of the rebar will shift slightly, right?

In fact, as long as the rebar is centered, it can work well—in some cases, you can simply cut the legs of the clip spacers to install them.

These days, pretty much every service provider has a certain level of skill, so where do they compete?

When you put it that way, isn't it really just a tiny, trivial detail like this?

I get the feeling we’re in an era where construction work that pays close attention to the finer details is well-received by both government agencies and general contractors.

If you get too caught up in the details, it can slow down the process, so it’s important to strike a balance.

Doing a little bit of cleanup (picking up trash) at the worksite every day might be one of those small details.

There are so many little details to deal with on-site.

They say God is in the details, after all ^^

By the way, there seems to be an English proverb that goes, “The devil is in the details,” and it means

"This refers to situations where something that seems simple at first glance actually requires more time and effort than expected to complete."

See you later.
