We've hired an intern to work as a scaffolder.

Under Japanese law, a roofer is classified as a scaffolding worker under the Technical Intern Training Program.

Slope work is covered under the scaffolding license, lol.

So, they, too, are here as temporary workers.

 

One of our interns is also here as a scaffolder, but,

Lately, I've been having him do some welding, repair machinery, and work on all sorts of other projects.

 

I'm getting pretty good at this, and I can do just about anything with ease!!!

We had them build some shelves for welding and lathe work.

The accuracy is decent, and it’s perfectly level with absolutely no distortion.

It feels like he's really come into his own, and he says he's having fun, too.

 

Just because the job right in front of you is what you're doing now doesn't mean it's the right fit for you!

 

How's your current job?

Well, since we've been doing this for a long time, should we just keep doing it?

Is this job just to make a living?

When you're young, there's no sense of fulfillment, is there?

Do you want to quit already?

Is that why you're in your current job—because you didn't have a choice back then?

Reasons vary from person to person. There’s no right or wrong.

 

When you're young, you don't know anything, so getting a job is harder than you'd think, isn't it?

I’m entering the workforce thinking I’ll have lots of options and be able to do all sorts of things, but,

In reality, I can't do a thing, and I can't choose anything.

I don't know what to choose!

That's why some people end up choosing a career that's close at hand without giving it much thought, and things turn out hopelessly...

There are times when you wish adults—or your parents—would teach you more, right?

 

From an adult’s perspective, it’s truly enviable to be young and able to become anything you want, isn’t it?

Watching our young intern at work today, I felt a little guilty about making him do slope-construction work.

Since his true calling wasn't there, it's quite possible that manufacturing was his true calling.

 

He's a bit of a troublemaker, but he suddenly seems to have come alive.

After all, you won't know if you like something or want to do it until you try it.

 

I realized that even if it’s a detour, it’s important to try all sorts of things.

At Enta, we handle everything from slope work and anchoring to scaffolding, machining, and welding.

In manufacturing and civil engineering, there’s a wide range of things you can do, so it’s easy to choose a path.

I've mentioned this before, but whenever you're choosing a job, you must—I mean, you absolutely must—go with the tougher option!

 

If you don't make some tough choices, things will get even worse when you become an old guy like us.

Once you get older, it becomes a battle of willpower, so you really have to give it your all while you're still young...

Check out those guys around here who look like they're a lost cause lol (Is that a bad way to put it? lol)

 

I had it easy when I was young.

That's why I'm there. I ran away. When I was young.

It doesn't matter whether you're a regular employee or a CEO.

No matter how much you consider that person’s personality or true nature, someone who runs away will always run away at crucial moments and make excuses.

 

While I feel confident in some areas, there are other areas where I’ve shied away and end up regretting it.

I'm trying to fix it now, but I just don't have the energy... lol

The conversation’s going all over the place, but anyway, when you’re young, don’t shy away from challenges!

 

This applies to middle-aged guys today, too.

Because right now is the youngest you'll ever be in your life!!

I'll run away today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow.

While you're still young, try out all sorts of things and see if you can find something that suits you.

Let's find out what you're good at!

 

However, if it's causing you stress, it's better to stop.

With things like this, it's all about the vibe and momentum.

If you hesitate, you'll regret it!

Regret is useless!

Life turns out the way you want it to through your own efforts and the people you meet!
