The Perfect Time to Get Heat Stroke Prevention Measures in Order | Summer Preparations in the Construction Industry

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

It kind of feels like the rainy season is just around the corner, doesn't it? lol

The humid season has begun!Something like that, lol

Be careful of heatstroke during this time of year, too!!

Heatstroke Prevention Measures

I write about heatstroke every year, but it just isn't getting through! (lol)

It's the same with our employees—they drink juice, too!!

Juice does not help prevent heatstroke!

Since this is important, I'll write it again.

Juice is absolutely useless for preventing heatstroke!!!

Even if drinking juice temporarily quenches your thirst at that moment, you haven't really rehydrated, so you'll get thirsty again right away.

I’m not getting enough fluids—to the point where I might as well assume my body is absorbing very little of it—and with all this sugar intake, I’m headed straight for diabetes.

Sugar Content in Juice

It’s true that sugar can help promote hydration, though.

So, what's so great about them? Well, you can easily pick them up at a convenience store, they're cheap, and they taste great even when frozen!

You see frozen sports drinks at convenience stores these days, right?

Doesn't that stuff start out really strong and then turn into something that tastes like plain water by the end?

Actually, while water freezes easily and melts slowly, sugar doesn't freeze easily but seems to melt easily.

Since the sugar dissolves quickly, the first sip of a frozen sports drink tastes quite strong.

Barley Tea

A drink that won't do that—cheap and delicious barley tea! It's barley tea!!

On recent job sites, we always have salted candy on hand, so barley tea is plenty.

Please sip your iced barley tea little by little every 15 minutes or so!

But if you're in the mood for something sweet,

Chilled barley tea and room-temperature sports drinks might be the best combo.I don't know.

Drink them alternately every 15 minutes.

Cold barley tea and a sports drink containing sodium.

Even if your work efficiency drops a little, it’s better than getting heatstroke, so be sure to take plenty of breaks while you work!

See you later.
