It just won't stop raining, will it...

Right now, I'm at a stone masonry reinforcement job site.

We've finished cutting and cleaning, so we're ready to fill the gaps with mortar, but we can't do the work in this rain.

On top of that, the forecast says we're out of luck all week.

How about in your area?

It looks like it will be mostly rainy along the Pacific coast, including Atami, andIt looks like the number of hazardous areas is about to increase dramatically.That's it.

That said, I think there are quite a few dangerous spots where we’re working, so in a way, it might actually be better to take the day off if possible.

If it's ground anchor work or rebar installation, we can work even in the rain, but mortar and concrete work just won't work.

The more you do it, the more revisions you'll have to make, so it's better not to do it.

The final result is important, too.

The rainy season is especially long this year. (Because it started early.)

And be sure to inspect the slope before construction begins.

Are there any cracks in the retaining wall or slope?

Are there any abnormalities on the sprayed surface currently under construction?

Is murky water flowing from an unexpected place?

The construction site is located on a mountainside, so it is extremely prone to landslides.

It is common knowledge that the more a mountain is disturbed (through excavation or soil removal), the more prone it becomes to landslides.

Please conduct a thorough inspection of the site and carefully check the surrounding area outside the construction zone as well.

I say this every time, but it’s important to be mindful of it.
