In drainage boring work, do you apply adhesive to the PVC pipes?
The perforated pipe used in drainage boring is not subjected to any particular stress; its role is to be buried in the ground and drain water away.
For that reason, it is true that many contractors take this too lightly.
That's because I hear a lot of people don't use glue.
The other day, when I was applying glue during an inspection at the city office, someone asked me, “Are you gluing that?”
"Well, I don't think it'll come loose, but I want to integrate it, and I want to put my mind at ease about the possibility that it might come loose, lol," I replied.
When I asked around, I was told that many contractors don’t use them. (Apparently, this was the first time the person in charge had ever seen one.)
I think it looks good when you let it drip thickly onto a specific area.
When you squeeze it tightly, the paste oozes out from the sides.
This means you'll almost never make a mistake, but on the flip side, it also means you can't go back and correct it.
I’ve also had a time in the past when the PVC just wouldn’t fit inside the casing, but since I’d already applied the glue, there was nothing I could do about it, lol.
PVC connectors are sold everywhere, so in the worst-case scenario, you can just use those lol.
