Here's What to Watch Out for When Using a Jack Under Stress!

Quite a few people tend to mess this part up.

This is not a wedge used for securing something in place, but rather a wedge used on the head of a jack.

This is something that really bugs me.

Insert the wedge into this hole.

Be sure to apply grease at that time.

The reason we do this is that this area is subjected to tremendous stress when under tension.

This applies pressure to the side surface of the wedge.

It's what's known as extreme pressure. An extremely high surface pressure is applied across the entire wedge.

As a result, as you continue to apply the load repeatedly, it will dig in deeper and deeper until it can no longer be removed.

Please look around the jack hole.

Just apply a rough coat—it will spread out when you prick it.

Repeat this for the specified number of times.

I put this on whenever I feel nervous.

Also, it’s especially important to make sure you wipe off any sand or other debris if it gets on the item after you drop it.

 

After all, this part is subjected to tremendous force, so even a single grain of sand will cause it to sink in.

You'll have to keep hammering it until it's all dented up.

By the way, you shouldn't use cheap grease from places like home improvement stores.

Even when it comes to bellows grease, I recommend one that costs around 1,000 yen.

That's because many inexpensive greases have little or no extreme-pressure properties.

We recommend using the best-quality molybdenum grease possible.

 

The jack's design is simple, so as long as you handle it correctly, you won't have to tap it with a hammer lol.
