Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
Do you wear a helmet?
Well, I guess I'm always using it, of course lol

Are you fastening your chin strap?
If you don't fasten the chin strap, the helmet could come off in the event of a fall, and then it would all be for nothing.
People often hang their helmets on the brim of their hats during the summer to keep from getting sunburned.
This is just ridiculous. To be honest, as a director, I don't even want to talk to someone at that level.
And that’s especially true if the craftsman is in his or her 30s.
Back when I was a supervisor, I used to think that if a craftsman couldn’t even make a helmet properly, he shouldn’t even bother coming to the job site.
It gets annoying having to say this every single time, doesn't it? (But I'll say it anyway.)
Isn't that helmet a bit worn out?
Isn't it a little yellowed?? lol
Actually, it’s kind of hard to swap them out when the stickers for each qualification are already on them.
Sometimes those stickers serve as proof of certification. (Various certification stickers like the ones below)

People who have a lot of stickers on their stuff are especially reluctant to change them—it’s like a badge of honor.

It’s just like a rank insignia—that’s the image you get when you see it on a helmet, right?
That's exactly why they're even more reluctant to replace their helmets.
However, helmets do have an expiration date.
Five years at mostThat's it.
Japan Helmet Manufacturers Association
(It freaks me out that there's a club or association for just about everything lol)
It's listed in the Q&A section here.
The Midori Safety website also includes the following information:
| Material | Disposal and Replacement Criteria |
|---|---|
| Made of ABS, PC, and PE (thermoplastic resins) | Within three years, even if no abnormalities are found |
| Made of FRP (thermosetting resin) | Within 5 years, even if no abnormalities are found |
| Mounting Body | Within one year, even if no abnormalities are found |
According to the table above, the helmet itself lasts 3 to 5 years, but since the headband lasts only 1 year, it needs to be replaced after 1 year.

Please refer to items 2 through 4 in the table above.
The expiration date for this part is one year, isn't it...
Replace it at least once a year to protect your lifeIt might be safer to do that, in many ways.
That said, if you take good care of it, there won’t be much wear and tear, so I think it’ll last two years just fine.
My helmet is already more than two years old.
It's about time to replace it.
There were also check items on the website.

Please feel free to use this as a reference.
And, actually, there are plenty of medal stickers for sale online.
There are tons of them on Amazon lol
Let's update our helmets and stickers to ensure safety!
See you later
