Today, Mr. Itabashi from Toyotoku Industries (Machinery Repair) came to our place after lunch to do some repairs.<\/p>\n
I learned how to use a gouging tool and how to perform detailed maintenance on the hydraulic unit!<\/p>\n

But I really could use a mechanic, lol.<\/p>\n
But that's beside the point.<\/p>\n
The Pecking the Other Day<\/p>\n

At its peak, the sand rises to about 7 meters.<\/p>\n
The casing is full of sand, so the measuring rod won't fit inside.<\/p>\n
I made sure the hole was long enough, but the anchor won't go in lol<\/p>\n
So I'll have to re-drill it, but for now I'll use the MG-10 hydraulic press.<\/p>\n

Without inserting a liner, fill the casing with water, then rotate and strike it while pumping water through it with the MG-10.<\/p>\n
When that happens, the sand pushed up by water pressure flows out.<\/p>\n
If you repeat this a few times, the amount of sand that gets pushed up will decrease.<\/p>\n

But in the end, there\u2019s always some left over. So this time, I dug 1 meter deeper than necessary.(This is a failure.)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n When we dug 1 meter past the planned depth, the sand stopped right at the intended settlement depth.<\/p>\n From there, inject the replacement grout and drain the water; after confirming that the grout has completely filled the borehole, insert the anchor body.<\/p>\n But surprisingly, it doesn't fit!<\/p>\n So, it turns out that backflow is occurring during the replacement infusion.<\/p>\n I attached a short casing, struck it, and shook it up and down to retrieve the casing.<\/p>\n As a result, the anchor ended up sinking all the way down to the point where the hole was 1 meter too deep!<\/p>\n I think the cause is probably the pressure.<\/p>\n It is believed that the sand from the over-excavation was forced out by the pressure of the grout, causing the anchor body to fall.<\/p>\n The anchor had 1 meter too little slack, and on top of that, we couldn't pull it up.<\/p>\n Sand layers dehydrate very quickly. So it's practically impossible to pull them up.<\/p>\n Plus, since it's a temporary anchor, the polyethylene hose covering it is pretty thin...<\/p>\n If you wrap the wire around something and pull on it, it snaps easily...<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Since that anchor had 2 meters of slack, but this one has only 1 meter, we will extend it.<\/p>\n It's a hassle, but there's nothing I can do about it.<\/p>\n When drilling in sandy soil, don't overdrill\u2014keep it to a reasonable extent!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n See you later.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hello, everyone.
