I think I introduced this a while back\u2014it\u2019s an oil additive.<\/p>\n
We also use grease here.<\/p>\n
Since I started using this additive in the engine oil for my Percussion and other vehicles, they've been running great.<\/p>\n
It's a large engine, so it's a little hard to tell, but there haven't been any problems so far.<\/p>\n
It works quite well on small engines and significantly reduces engine noise.<\/p>\n
This is especially true if the equipment hasn't been well-maintained up to this point.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve been testing it for a while, but now we\u2019re rolling it out in earnest.<\/p>\n
The additive itself is quite expensive, but I think it's very effective.<\/p>\n
As long as there are no machine problems, it\u2019ll actually be a bargain in the end.<\/p>\n
It'll keep running for a while even without engine oil, right? lol<\/p>\n
I bought both the machine version and the car version.<\/p>\n
I'd like to make sure my machines last as long as possible, even with just a little care.<\/p>\n
But that's beside the point.<\/p>\n
June is packed with safety meetings.<\/p>\n

Company Safety Meetings<\/p>\n
No, it's fine.<\/p>\n
It's not that safety meetings are a bad thing, but wouldn't it be better if all the companies in the area got together and held them collectively?<\/p>\n
I know I'll probably get in trouble for writing this (lol), but...<\/p>\n
I\u2019m grateful just to be invited by the various general contractors, but...<\/p>\n
It all tends to pile up around this time of year, doesn't it?<\/p>\n

Well, that's all well and good, but there are employees from various companies attending this safety conference.<\/p>\n
If that employee was the site representative or chief engineer at the time, work on the site would come to a halt, right?<\/p>\n
Basically, one of them is always on duty.<\/p>\n
That means we\u2019d have to halt work on-site just to attend the safety meeting.<\/p>\n
In this case, temporarily transfer (delegate) supervisory responsibility to someone who is qualified to serve as the chief engineer or similar role for that day only, and<\/p>\n
I've heard that it's possible to do this, but is it legally permissible??<\/p>\n
If an accident were to occur, I suppose the on-site representative and the chief engineer would be held responsible...<\/p>\n
I\u2019d like to check with the Labor Standards Office about this.<\/p>\n

Even when the site is in a critical situation, since safety meetings are a top priority, I suppose I should go, but,<\/p>\n
The general contractor on site wouldn't let that slide, would they? (lol)<\/p>\n
Plus, if I just write here that I\u2019ve been kind of busy lately as an excuse... lol<\/p>\n

There are safety meetings that are interesting and those that aren't.<\/p>\n
Are your company's safety meetings interesting?<\/p>\n
As far as I know, there are two companies that are pretty interesting.<\/p>\n
We bring in comedians to make safety talks fun, and we even hold huge bingo tournaments, lol.<\/p>\n
Social gatherings in places like that are so much fun, aren't they?<\/p>\n
It has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and it doesn't seem like accidents would happen here. (That doesn't mean people are just going through the motions, though.)<\/p>\n

Ultimately, I think that if the atmosphere on the job site is good, the accident rate tends to be lower.<\/p>\n
It's all about communication. The director's instructions are clearly conveyed, and the artisans' intentions are also clearly conveyed.<\/p>\n
Ultimately, it comes down to the kind of communication that comes up often on this blog.<\/p>\n

If we held an engaging seminar on communication skills during the safety conference, it seems like that would improve safety rates, doesn't it?<\/p>\n
When it comes to work, everyone here is a pro, but if I had to say, I might be a little less skilled at communicating things.<\/p>\n
