It's been a week since I decided not to work on Sundays.<\/p>\n
I still feel kind of restless, lol.<\/p>\n
It looks like it'll take some time to get used to it.<\/p>\n
But that's beside the point.<\/p>\n
Drilling machines and all those other parts are really expensive, aren't they?<\/p>\n
I get it. It\u2019s expensive when you consider the development costs.<\/p>\n
However, since they're expensive, we want to make and use anything we can produce ourselves.<\/p>\n
If I'm still having trouble, I'll naturally buy the manufacturer's product.<\/p>\n

These are the components for the suspended core drill used in this project.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
That's the part that goes on the tip, isn't it?<\/p>\n
And this is all for just one set... at a price that makes you go, \"Whaaaaaat?!\"...<\/p>\n
So, I think I'll try making it using 3D CAD.<\/p>\n

First, let's take the measurements.<\/p>\n

I drilled the bolt holes.<\/p>\n
All that's left is to turn this on a lathe, cut it in half, and heat treat it\u2014then it's done.<\/p>\n

Thanks to 3D CAD, we\u2019ve recently reached a point where we can create just about anything.<\/p>\n
Well, I can build simple mechanisms in one go, but with complex ones, it takes time to take measurements, and<\/p>\n
It's quite a lot of work because you have to repeat the process of creating parts with a 3D printer and then attaching them several times.<\/p>\n
That said, while it\u2019s easy to design using 3D CAD, actually building it does involve a fair amount of cost.<\/p>\n
In fact, it\u2019s quite common for products to be significantly cheaper when purchased directly from the manufacturer.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Plus, if you don't have at least some knowledge\u2014from the ingredients to the production process\u2014you'll end up handing everything over to someone else, and they'll definitely take advantage of you lol.<\/p>\n
Making things isn't always easy. As the saying goes, \"Leave it to the experts.\"<\/p>\n
