This might come out of the blue, but you know this, right?<\/p>\n

I always find myself thinking this.<\/p>\n

Or rather, I've thought that ever since I was a kid.<\/p>\n

Is this something you step on, or something you push with your hand?<\/p>\n

At first glance, it looks like something you step on, doesn't it?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, since the toilet seat is quite low on a Japanese-style toilet, I wondered if you were supposed to step on it with your foot, but,<\/p>\n

With Western-style toilets, they're positioned pretty high up, aren't they?<\/p>\n

In that case, it would be a bit tough to do on foot, wouldn't it?<\/p>\n

So, when I looked into it, it seems a lot of people had the same question.<\/p>\n

I got quite a few hits. (lol)<\/p>\n

Apparently, the solution is to push it by hand.<\/p>\n

But I think most people would say it's the legs.<\/p>\n

It's hard to reach with your hand something you've pushed with your foot in the bathroom, isn't it?!...<\/p>\n

Actually, I personally hook my finger under the edge and push it. I\u2019m going to wash my hands afterward anyway.<\/p>\n
