For now, the growing medium was placed inside the grid.<\/p>\n
Overall, I believe there are no issues with the vegetation engineering.<\/p>\n
But that's just how it is with this location.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s because this site is located in a heavy snowfall area, so the weight of the snow and the freeze-thaw cycle cause the base material to lift, and it flows out to the toe of the slope in the spring.<\/p>\n
Since this happens every year, the vegetation substrate gradually breaks down.<\/p>\n
It is possible that the pressure plate may become loose in a few years.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, it is entirely possible that the landscaping base material itself could disappear.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If the soil is lost, the next steps would be to apply mud spray or reapply the vegetation substrate.<\/p>\n
Since there is no soil base, relying solely on seed spraying is likely to be difficult.<\/p>\n
Surprisingly, there are quite a few slopes like this, and I expect that the number of projects to re-construct such slopes will increase in the future.<\/p>\n
That said, considering the life-cycle costs, we might not go with landscaping after all...<\/p>\n

It seemed like a mountain where, if we were going to plant vegetation, it would be better to add a few more shrubs and reduce the amount of grass.<\/p>\n

If you're focusing on appearance, adding more grass will make it look nicer, but in the long run, shrubs are definitely the way to go.<\/p>\n
In the case of shrubs, if they grow too large and you need to consider maintenance and other factors,<\/p>\n
