(It\u2019ll lower your daily step count, lol.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbReal-time display of the current location's planar Cartesian coordinates (Series 1\u201319)<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbWhen you import control point data in CSV or SIMA (.sim) format, the app will guide you to the selected point using an arrow and the remaining distance.<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbWhen there are 5 meters remaining, the display changes to \"Search this area.\"<\/p>\n<p>\u30fb\"Camera Guidance,\" which superimposes a pin indicating the target direction onto the camera feed<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbAlign a DXF floor plan with the actual site (using the two-point method or the one-point plus direction method) so that a current location marker moves within the drawing\u2014\"Walk Through the Drawing\"<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbYou can choose from Geospatial Information Authority of Japan maps (Standard, Light-colored, and Photographic), Apple Maps, and white maps as your basemap.<\/p>\n<p>Both Cima and CSV files can be imported as-is.<\/p>\n<p>You can also include drawings.<\/p>\n<p>I've heard that it can also automatically identify TREND-type column sequences.<\/p>\n<p>It's a really handy app, especially for people who do surveying, isn't it?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, I\u2019ll make sure to explain the issue of accuracy clearly.<\/p>\n<p>It uses the iPhone's built-in GNSS, which has an accuracy of a few meters.<\/p>\n<p>It is optimized for quickly determining the \"approximate location\" of reference points and cannot be used for applications such as surveying or as-built measurements.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the coordinate transformation algorithm is based on the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan\u2019s calculation formula and has been verified to match within 1 mm at known points.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, it's a tool that helps you quickly find reference points.<\/p>\n<p>No account registration required, no ads.<\/p>\n<p>Both location data and imported data are processed entirely within the device, with no data transmitted externally.<\/p>\n<p>It's free and available exclusively for iPhones running iOS 17 or later.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66282\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/c78e38fba161cd72e86fec1a01831013.jpg\" alt=\"Find a Control Point Using the Control Point Navigator\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Standard Value Pocket | Draw standard values for finished parts in just three taps<\/h2>\n<p>And this is what came out a few days later.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/jp\/app\/%E8%A6%8F%E6%A0%BC%E5%80%A4%E3%83%9D%E3%82%B1%E3%83%83%E3%83%88\/id6791196448\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Specifications Pocket<\/a><\/p>\n<p>*Apple devices only (iPhone)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I've been really looking forward to this.<\/p>\n<p>This app lets you instantly display the answer to \"What was that specification value again?\" with just three taps right on the job site!!<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbNavigate through the work category tree (Part \u2192 Chapter \u2192 Section \u2192 Work Category) or use a keyword search to find the desired standard value.<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbSupports phonetic search. Results will appear even if you search using the readings \"Y\u014dheki\" or \"Norimen.\"<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbReference values and standard values are displayed exactly as they appear in the original text. Standard values for various conditions, such as length and classification, are also included.<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbOverview of point-based and area-based management modes, measurement criteria (frequency), and measurement location diagrams on cards<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbYou can pinch to zoom in on the measurement location diagram to see the details.<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbIncludes favorites and a history of recently viewed items<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbWorks completely offline<\/p>\n<p>This is absolutely essential on the job.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I downloaded it right away.<\/p>\n<p>There's no cell service out in the mountains, after all.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that it works offline is a huge plus, huh? lol<\/p>\n<p>It's also a relief not to have to carry around a thick manual on site.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the information provided, this app is based on the published \u201cStandards and Specifications for Civil Engineering Construction Management (Draft)\u201d (Kinki Regional Development Bureau) and has been edited and formatted for easy viewing.<\/p>\n<p>The basics are the same nationwide, so there's no problem.<\/p>\n<p>It appears that the datasets for fiscal year and ordering agency are of the replaceable type, meaning they are not automatically updated but must be manually loaded within the app.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In real-world situations, I rarely open apps like this.<\/p>\n<p>Especially the veterans\u2014since they\u2019ve been using these standard values for so many years, they must know them by heart!!<\/p>\n<p>But it happens sometimes, doesn't it!?<\/p>\n<p>Huh? What was that again??<\/p>\n<p>It's something you need for those times when you dig deep into your memory but still end up thinking, \u201cHuh?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That's exactly when you need it, isn't it?<\/p>\n<p>You don't need it on a daily basis, but even if you only use it a few times a year, it's definitely handy to have\u2014and it's a must-have for young professionals!<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing this get localized into other languages lol<\/p>\n<p>The role of a director will become more diverse in the future.<\/p>\n<p>After all, foreign visitors need to be aware of the standard values, too.<\/p>\n<p>I'm actually thinking about developing an app like this, specifically for slopes, too ^^<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66283\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/f41d47c5964f2217e731df73581676c3.jpg\" alt=\"Check Specifications in the Specifications Pocket\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>An Era When Civil Engineers Can Release Their Own Apps<\/h2>\n<p>We just released a web app for measuring stone walls the other day, too.<\/p>\n<p>Things that used to be possible only for IT companies can now be easily done by us ordinary civil engineers as well.<\/p>\n<p>This is truly amazing.<\/p>\n<p>After all, there's no need to call on an IT contractor every single time.<\/p>\n<p>We have a clear vision of what we want to create, and we also have the answers to make it happen.<\/p>\n<p>Up until now, we\u2019ve just thrown our ideas at the IT folks, and they could only come up with the answers we asked for.
