The other day was the Spring Equinox.<\/p>\n

There was a construction site where they said, \u201cIt\u2019s the Autumnal Equinox, so we\u2019re taking the day off!\u201d lol<\/p>\n

\"I'm<\/p>\n

It's hard to believe this is happening in the middle of the week... I'm really surprised.<\/p>\n

Hey, main contractor, that's not right...<\/p>\n

But that's beside the point.<\/p>\n

The construction industry is aiming for a two-day weekend going forward lol<\/p>\n

I know this feels a bit late in the game, lol<\/p>\n

This isn't a bad development in and of itself, so I welcome it, but if the number of workdays decreases, what else will decrease?<\/p>\n

That's right! Salaries will go down. No doubt about it. (This is also shown in the results of a survey by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.)<\/p>\n

Apparently, working a two-day weekend reduces your pay by around 30,000 yen.<\/p>\n

\"Pay<\/p>\n

Even if you can't take time off during the week, you still want to rest on the weekend, right? (lol)<\/p>\n

But I can\u2019t help but wonder, \u201cDo we really need two days off every week?\u201d<\/p>\n

I enjoy my job, so once a week is enough for me, but for special events, I think it\u2019s fine to take three consecutive days off instead of just two.<\/p>\n

In short,It's important to have an environment where you can take a break whenever you need to<\/span><\/strong><\/span>That's the point.<\/p>\n

Can you take time off from your company whenever you want?<\/p>\n

I think most people would probably say it's impossible.<\/p>\n

Isn't it okay to say, \"I'll work hard this month so I can take a long weekend next month\"?<\/p>\n

All you have to do is switch from the flex-time system to the flex-day system\u2014it\u2019s really that simple.<\/p>\n

Once you get married, you want both time off and money. When you work, you have less time off but more money. The opposite is also true.<\/p>\n

Wouldn't it be solved if people just adjusted their work and rest months on their own? lol<\/p>\n

Well, people who want money but don't want to work are an exception, though...<\/p>\n

\"Any<\/p>\n

At our company, too, we're asked to give a week's notice for time off. That way, once everyone knows about it, they can adjust their schedules accordingly.<\/p>\n

That's actually what we do at our house.<\/p>\n

We're making adjustments on-site so that operations can continue smoothly even if that employee is absent.<\/p>\n

In the worst-case scenario, we'll talk to the general contractor and shut down the site.<\/p>\n

Personally, I\u2019d like to prioritize employees\u2019 vacation time, but in that context, unexcused absences are the biggest problem.<\/p>\n

Unauthorized absences really get on my nerves, lol.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m all for having two days off a week, but if I had to choose,I would like you to promote an environment where people can take time off whenever they need to.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>That's right.<\/p>\n
