What exactly do those legally mandated health checkups tell us?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, everyone.<\/p>\n<p>This is Enta.<\/p>\n<p>I went for a comprehensive health checkup the other day!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Have you ever wondered, \u201cWhy do health checkups include those specific items?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They measured my height and weight, drew blood, took X-rays...<br \/>\nIt\u2019s like, \u201cWhat on earth can you really tell from that?\u201d lol<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Also, at our company,<strong>Comprehensive health checkups are mandatory for people aged 40 and older<\/strong>I've set it to that.<\/p>\n<p>There's a good reason for this.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Minimum Items Required for Health Examinations Under the Law<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-59091\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/4a71ce10c6cd80cacad7442cc6ee1b7d.jpg\" alt=\"Medical History Form\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The basis for this is<strong>Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Article 44 (Periodic Health Examinations)<\/strong>That's it.<\/p>\n<p>Employers must ensure that their regular employees undergo medical examinations covering the following items at least once a year:<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Obligation<\/span>There is.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review of Medical and Employment History<\/li>\n<li>Confirmation of Subjective and Objective Symptoms<\/li>\n<li>Height, Weight, Waist Circumference, Vision, Hearing<\/li>\n<li>Chest X-ray (plus sputum test)<\/li>\n<li>Blood Pressure Measurement<\/li>\n<li>Anemia Test (Hemoglobin Level, Red Blood Cell Count)<\/li>\n<li>Liver Function Tests (GOT, GPT, \u03b3-GTP)<\/li>\n<li>Blood Lipid Tests (LDL Cholesterol, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Blood Glucose Test<\/li>\n<li>Urinalysis (Glucose and Protein)<\/li>\n<li>Electrocardiogram (ECG) Test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Are you doing all of these?<br \/>\nThere\u2019s no company that would just do a chest X-ray and check your blood pressure and call it a day\u2026 right? lol<\/p>\n<p>Please do your best!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>What does that item tell us?<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-59092\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/980c51313161941a779c341b117dd9a4.jpg\" alt=\"Vote\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To put it simply, here's how it works.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blood Pressure<\/strong>\u2192Understand the risks of high blood pressure, stroke, and heart attack. This is the one that\u2019s skyrocketing without any noticeable symptoms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liver Function (GOT, GPT, \u03b3-GTP)<\/strong>\u2192 Liver damage. Early detection of excessive drinking, fatty liver, and hepatitis. The workplace drinking culture is really dangerous, lol.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blood Lipids and Blood Sugar<\/strong>\u2192 The stage of atherosclerosis and diabetes. This is your only chance to catch it before your blood vessels become blocked.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Waist Circumference<\/strong>\u2192 Determining visceral fat-type obesity. Men with a waist circumference of 85 cm or more are diagnosed with metabolic syndrome. The food at work is really good, though, lol.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chest X-ray<\/strong>\u2192 Recognize the signs of lung cancer, tuberculosis, and pneumoconiosis. Spray painters, for example, are constantly breathing in dust... Make sure your mask meets JIS standards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Urinalysis<\/strong>\u2192 Check for kidney damage and diabetes. (I don\u2019t know if that\u2019s a good idea, though lol)<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s exactly why it\u2019s important for them to stay healthy.
