(Staying in the Lukla area without climbing.)<\/p>\n<p>Still, since it\u2019s around 5,000 meters, there\u2019s a risk of altitude sickness, isn\u2019t there!?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And if you're going to climb Mount Everest, it's going to cost a fortune!<\/p>\n<p>You can't make fun of mountain climbers, lol.<\/p>\n<h2>The Cost of Climbing Mount Everest<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\"><b>Mountain entry fee (climbing permit): Approximately 1.65 million yen \u2192 2.25 million yen<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"9,0,1\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,0,1,0,0\">It's like a tax paid to the Nepalese government.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,0,1,1,0\"><b>Important:<\/b> One person until the spring season of 2025 <b>$11,000 (approximately 1.65 million yen)<\/b> However,<b>The price will increase to $15,000 (approximately 2.25 million yen) starting in September 2025<\/b>It has been decided that this will be done.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\"><b>Sherpa (guide and porter) fees: several million yen<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"9,1,1\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,1,1,0,0\">They're our lifeline. They handle everything\u2014laying out the route, carrying our gear, and preparing meals. The more skilled the Sherpa, the higher the fee.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"9,2,0\"><b>Oxygen and equipment costs: Approximately 500,000 to 1,000,000 yen<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"9,2,1\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,2,1,0,0\">An oxygen cylinder costs about 70,000 to 100,000 yen each. Each climber uses 5 to 7 cylinders on the way to the summit. Masks and regulators are also expensive.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"9,3,0\"><b>Icefall Route Fee: Approximately $600 per team<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"9,3,1\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,3,1,0,0\">We will pay the Special Operations Team (SPCC), which sets up ladders and ropes in dangerous glacier zones.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"9,4,0\"><b>Base Camp Accommodation Fees<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"9,4,1\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,4,1,0,0\">Food expenses for about two months, a tent, fuel, and labor costs for the cook, among other things.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"9,5,0\"><b>Other<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"9,5,1\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,5,1,0,0\">Airfare, international mountaineering insurance (several hundred thousand yen), liaison officer fees, garbage deposit, and bonuses (tips) for Sherpas upon reaching the summit, among other things.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>And above all, the gear you need to get there is ridiculously expensive\u2014the bare minimum is 500,000, at the very least.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you're planning to climb Mount Everest from Japan,<strong>\"At least 10 million yen or more\"<\/strong>Apparently, that's the realistic goal lol (No wayyyyyyyyy!)<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>So, I'm taking a plane!<\/p>\n<p>Even so, a flight of about one hour costs approximately 45,000 rupees (about 48,000 yen, based on the December 2025 exchange rate).<\/p>\n<p>It's pretty expensive!<\/p>\n<p>...which means you'll be able to see Everest up close. (It's super far away, though lol)<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/youtu.be\/KhW8PH0Nefs<\/p>\n<p>I think I'm probably the only person who went to see Mount Everest while wearing work clothes as a slope maintenance worker!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I hardly ever take selfies, but I gave it a try lol<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-57534\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2025-12-01-09.34.01.jpg\" alt=\"Entertainment\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At that moment, I just thought, \u201cThat\u2019s totally a work uniform!!!\u201d...<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Well, even so, it was really great.<\/p>\n<p>You don't get to have an experience like this very often!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-57535\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Gemini_Generated_Image_b9il6fb9il6fb9il.jpg\" alt=\"Everest\" width=\"600\" height=\"448\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And what's most surprising of all is that there's actually a village right here in this area!!!<\/p>\n<p>So many houses in the distance\u2014it\u2019s the kind of place that makes you wonder, \u201cHow the heck do I even get there?!!\u201d...<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-57536\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2025-12-01-10.40.55.jpg\" alt=\"Everest Village\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It's a little hard to see, but I live in an amazing place...<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-57537\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2025-12-01-10.40.43.jpg\" alt=\"Everest Village\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I seriously thought, \"I'd love to go somewhere like this!\" lol<\/p>\n<p>I guess no one would ever think that, though...<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To get there, it seems you take a bus or something to get close, and then continue on by donkey, horse, or on foot...<\/p>\n<p>It's way more amazing than I ever imagined, isn't it?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This sightseeing flight tour runs from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and I've heard that if the weather is extremely bad, the tour will be canceled and the fare refunded.<\/p>\n<p>If any of you ever have the chance to visit Nepal, please be sure to go.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since you almost never get to see Mount Everest right in front of you, I think it's a great experience.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-57539\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2025-12-01-09.40.26.jpg\" alt=\"Everest\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>By the way, since I always get a window seat on the plane, I\u2019m guaranteed to see the mountains.<\/p>\n<p>Will I be able to see Mount Everest on the way there?
