Things are really bad in Nagoya, aren't they?<\/p>\n

Since this is an area that doesn't usually get snow, it's causing major chaos.<\/p>\n

That said, it feels like it happens every year these days, though...<\/p>\n

I'm heading out to the countryside, so I'm driving on studless tires\u2014they give me peace of mind, and I'm used to driving in the snow, after all.<\/p>\n

It looks like it's really tough for people who aren't used to it.<\/p>\n

It doesn't look like I'll be able to make it to the job site today.<\/p>\n

So, we've decided to drill the hole on Sunday.<\/p>\n

This week is when we really need to give it our all!<\/p>\n

I'll do my best to stay safe!!<\/p>\n

How to Make a Packer (Part 4)<\/h3>\n

Here's a shot of the tip of the packer I had forgotten about the other day.<\/p>\n

After that, I ran to the warehouse, cut about 30 cm off a spare \u03c690 packer, and got it ready.<\/p>\n

\"Length<\/p>\n

Cut the packer to roughly the same width as the span seal (butyl rubber).<\/p>\n

At this point, it's best to use plenty of Span Seal without skimping.<\/p>\n

It's important to make sure you don't let the tip leak.<\/p>\n

\"Put<\/p>\n

Carefully place the span seal inside.<\/p>\n

\"How<\/p>\n

Here's what it looks like when you open it.<\/p>\n

It's best if it's on the longer side. If it's too short, it becomes harder to tighten.<\/p>\n

Once you've put it inside, you'll need to cinch the elastic seal, but I think it's best to fold it neatly first.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no particular rule about why I write \u201cI think\u201d at this point!<\/p>\n

As long as there are no leaks in the end, it's fine, so it doesn't matter how you do it.<\/p>\n

\"Tighten<\/p>\n

Place the span seal inside and fold the packer once.<\/p>\n

Fold the creased part neatly, like an \"M,\" and then...Track numbers, etc.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>...to narrow it down.<\/p>\n

In my case, I recommend using something called a hose clamp.<\/p>\n

\"Hose<\/p>\n

For items like this, if there are two or four steel wires, use a band that\u2019s about 70\u201390 mm wide.<\/p>\n

If there are only a few, a smaller one is fine.<\/p>\n

You can usually find them at home improvement stores, but if you're going to buy one, I recommend the ones that cost 150 yen each.<\/p>\n

These hose clamps are inexpensive\u2014you can find them at home improvement stores for between 150 and 350 yen.<\/p>\n

Zip ties are fine, but considering tensile strength, we recommend using steel ones.<\/p>\n

With this hose clamp, you can tighten it quickly and securely with an impact wrench.<\/p>\n

And if you tighten the zip tie securely over this, it\u2019ll be even better.<\/p>\n

Since it's made of metal, I'll wrap it tightly with wide vinyl tape just in case it gets caught on something.<\/p>\n

This way, even if it tries to spread out, you can secure it firmly with vinyl tape, cable ties, and a hose clamp.<\/p>\n

Please make sure to secure the tip extra tightly!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Track number really highlights the difference between those who can narrow it down effectively and those who can't.<\/p>\n

That's why I use a hose clamp.<\/p>\n

We want to prevent mistakes as much as possible.<\/p>\n
