This is about filling in the gaps.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Generally, grouting for rebar insertion and ground anchor work is performed only up to the horizontal level.<\/p>\n<p>You can't put any more in than that, right? (It'll spill, lol)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For sprayed mortar or formwork construction, the work is completed at the mortar stage.<\/p>\n<p>Even if rebar is installed in the soil section, it will end up in a horizontal position within the soil.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What I'm trying to say is,<span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: 20px;\"><strong>Is mortar okay for filling the gaps!?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>That's the story.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, there's an inspector in a certain prefecture who pointed that out, lol<\/p>\n<p>I don't know how that staff member responded at the time (I just asked).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What do you think about that?<\/p>\n<p>Since I was asked, here\u2019s my opinion.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56784\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/dd03539ec4219886dfa3a13314d369ae.png\" alt=\"Reinforcing Bar Installer, Spacing\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Filler material<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">In the case of sprayed mortar or formwork, materials of a similar grade<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The same level of strength<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">For earthwork sections, the strength must be greater than that of the natural ground.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Mortar with Easy-to-Understand Mix Ratios<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>1. Materials of comparable quality<\/h4>\n<p>In other words, it\u2019s a material comparable to a 1:4 sprayed mortar.<\/p>\n<h4>2. The same level of strength<\/h4>\n<p>Rather than the grout itself, it is important that it bonds well with the surrounding sprayed mortar and formwork, so a similar strength of about 18 N\/mm\u00b2 is required.<\/p>\n<h4>3. Strength equal to or greater than that of natural rock<\/h4>\n<p>For backfilling (leveling) around spray-cast formwork, the backfill material only needs to be as strong as the natural ground\u2014in other words, as long as it\u2019s harder than the natural soil, it\u2019s fine.<\/p>\n<p>Even temporary anchors used in ground anchor construction are acceptable as long as they are buried at least as deep as the soil layer.<\/p>\n<h4>4. Mix Proportions<\/h4>\n<p>Personally, I think it's fine to work things out on the spot, but,<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a bit of a hassle when people start talking about mixing ratios, so I prefer products from home improvement stores where the mixing ratios are clearly specified lol.<\/p>\n<p>It's what people commonly call \"dry mortar,\" lol.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5933\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/aeb5c92f2b4ef3436fc4195a110e87f2.jpg\" alt=\"Clip Spacer\" width=\"600\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/aeb5c92f2b4ef3436fc4195a110e87f2.jpg 600w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/aeb5c92f2b4ef3436fc4195a110e87f2-300x230.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, I think it should be fine as long as it has the same strength as the surrounding mortar.<\/p>\n<p>Some dry mortar products come with complete documentation from building supply stores, so I think it would be much better to use those.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>People sometimes say that inspections are just nitpicking, but there are many aspects that really make you think.<\/p>\n<p>If you keep sending me this kind of information, I\u2019ll be able to give it some more thought.<\/p>\n<p>I really appreciate it.<\/p>\n<p>We'd love to hear from everyone about what they were told during their checkups.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There's a chance people might say, \"What?!\" eventually, so just keep that in the back of your mind lol<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>See you later.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, everyone.
