{"id":55636,"date":"2025-08-14T23:00:28","date_gmt":"2025-08-14T14:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/%e4%bb%ae%e8%a8%ad%e6%b0%b4%e6%8a%9c%e3%81%8d%e3%83%9c%e3%83%bc%e3%83%aa%e3%83%b3%e3%82%b0%e3%82%92%e6%89%93%e3%81%a4%e4%ba%8b%e3%81%a7%e4%ba%8b%e5%89%8d%e3%81%ab%e5%b4%a9%e5%a3%8a%e3%82%92%e9%98%b2\/"},"modified":"2026-05-16T16:05:34","modified_gmt":"2026-05-16T07:05:34","slug":"prevention-of-temporary-water-well-drilling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/norimen.net\/en\/temp-water-boring-prevention\/","title":{"rendered":"Drilling temporary drainage boreholes can prevent collapse in advance and provide ongoing protection against it!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, everyone.<\/p>\n<p>This is Enta.<\/p>\n<p>I managed to capture some really great footage during the heavy rain in Noto the other day.<\/p>\n<p>Take a look.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-55636-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/39ddc80352050f8578006e8f8858111e.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/39ddc80352050f8578006e8f8858111e.mp4\">https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/39ddc80352050f8578006e8f8858111e.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>Water is also leaking from the upper section, so we installed a drain pipe as a safety measure (we install these proactively as part of our in-house service).<\/p>\n<p>It is about 4 meters long.<\/p>\n<p>This drainage system was created by drilling a hole with a 65-diameter drill bit and driving a perforated pipe into it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And then there was that heavy rain in Ishikawa the other day.<\/p>\n<p>Water that had barely been coming out until then started gushing out of the drain.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, if this amount of material hadn\u2019t been removed from the natural rock, there\u2019s a very high probability that the structure would have collapsed even after the rebar installation was completed!!!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I believe that drainage is essential, whether it\u2019s for rebar installation or formwork.<\/p>\n<p>I think this is what true preventive maintenance is all about.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And please pay special attention to the drain below it.<\/p>\n<p>It's in the same direction as the bolt.<\/p>\n<p>Drain downward. (In areas where machinery cannot enter.)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-55237\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/f981b91faa1a9b13c449ae644d8b9e44-1.png\" alt=\"Drainage: Condition of the Natural Ground\" width=\"600\" height=\"460\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is what it looks like when it's not raining.<\/p>\n<p>Under what circumstances does water come out of this downward-pointing drain pipe?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Of course, it could be caused by pressure from the underlying rock, but if you think about it logically, this is the most likely explanation, right?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-55238\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/9832c2ed11fb954f541ca8082ca7b950-1.png\" alt=\"Drainage: Ground Conditions During Rainfall\" width=\"600\" height=\"460\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This means that the groundwater level has risen to the vicinity of the hole in the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, water is constantly flowing in from all sorts of streams in the mountains, so it\u2019s hard to say for sure, but,<\/p>\n<p>The Mizumichi, which extend in all directions, converge and emerge from the drainage borehole.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That makes me wonder\u2014are downward-facing drainage rock bolts more likely to be approved??? But for now, I guess I\u2019ll just have to experiment, lol.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-55240\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/399b2dfa7ea2697c59c466587805e698-1.png\" alt=\"Drain bolt\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After all, shouldn't preventive maintenance involve draining the water?<\/p>\n<p>Honestly, as long as you have a drain, you don't even need a frame.<\/p>\n<p>That's what I think, too.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Actually, at the construction sites I work on for private projects, the main task is draining water.<\/p>\n<p>Due to issues such as the red zone, we will be performing rebar insertion and dewatering work.<\/p>\n<p>Right now, water is gushing out of the drain\u2014is this okay!?<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve received messages saying that, but it\u2019s never actually collapsed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since excessive pore water pressure does not build up during heavy rain, the structure does not collapse.<\/p>\n<p>And since it includes rebar insertion work, I guess it\u2019s the strongest!!? (Well, it\u2019s a private-sector project on a slope, so...)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-51665\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/2022-07-28-09.32.26.jpg\" alt=\"Drainage Boring Worker\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/2022-07-28-09.32.26.jpg 600w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/2022-07-28-09.32.26-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even when we do the construction ourselves, we prioritize safety and proactively drain the water, so we have plenty of proven results showing its effectiveness, but,<\/p>\n<p>After all, the problem is that it's hard to quantify, lol.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s definitely not an easy topic to bring up with consultants.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Based on experience, we recommend that the length of the drainage channel be at least as long as the rebar insertion process.<\/p>\n<p>2 meters isn't enough, so if possible, I'd like at least 4 meters.<\/p>\n<p>Please be careful, as cement slurry may seep in depending on the construction sequence and method.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>See you later.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, everyone.
