300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here is the condition of the slopes in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On this slope, you can see something that looks like shotcrete in the background, right?<\/p>\n<p>In the foreground, debris from the landslide above has accumulated.<\/p>\n<p>And every time it rains, it gradually accumulates further down.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are actually quite a few cases like this in Japan, too.<\/p>\n<p>That is, when drainage at the small terraces becomes blocked, water pours into the upper part of the slope, leading to a collapse.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Especially when it comes to construction projects overseas, the concept of water is handled very loosely.<\/p>\n<p>Well, Japan is still kind of the same way, though...<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-53773\" submitting a report outlining the actual construction methods and such.<\/p>\n<p>Well, this is just a proposal for now; we won't be moving on to the design phase.<\/p>\n<p>If that goes well, it looks like we'll move on to the detailed design phase next time.<\/p>\n<p>For now, I'm quickly putting together some text about water treatment and its methods, accompanied by manga-style illustrations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If I were actually designing it, I\u2019d want to take the rain conditions here into account, though.<\/p>\n<p>\"Come back again during the rainy season...\"<\/p>\n<p>It took over 30 hours lol<\/p>\n<p>I guess that part is surprisingly tough.<\/p>\n<p>As for the time difference, it's only about six hours, so it doesn't really bother me that much, though~<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year, I\u2019ve had various opportunities to travel abroad, and I\u2019ve also been invited to speak at events, so it looks like those kinds of activities
