This is Enta.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been talking with various companies about their technical interns, and I\u2019d like to write down some of my thoughts on the matter.<\/p>\n

\"Technical<\/p>\n

I'll list below the questions we're frequently asked by other companies.<\/p>\n

1. How many people would be best right now?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

2. Has anyone run away?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

3. Are you going to work?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

4. Are you serious?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

5. Is there a cost involved?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

6. How many years have you been doing this?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

and so on<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As I\u2019ve written about many times before, the technical intern training program is a system that some people who aren\u2019t familiar with it view as a form of slavery.<\/p>\n

But what is the reality?<\/p>\n

It is a fact that bullying does occur, at least to some extent.<\/p>\n

But isn't this actually pretty common among Japanese people, too?<\/p>\n

When upperclassmen bully underclassmen.<\/p>\n

This is what is commonly referred to as workplace harassment.<\/p>\n

I'm not saying I agree with that; I'm just saying it's a common occurrence.<\/p>\n

The fact that the individuals in question were technical interns.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Whether Japanese or foreign, there are individual differences in who is capable of doing the job and who isn't.<\/p>\n

People who don't like that tend to resort to violence or yelling, but,<\/p>\n

This tendency is particularly evident among interns who face a language barrier.<\/p>\n

\"Anger\"<\/p>\n

That may have been the case until now.<\/p>\n

Things might change a bit from here on out.<\/p>\n

There are currently a great many Vietnamese people in the country, and they are causing various problems.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It\u2019s actually quite common to see news stories about Vietnamese people who have fled the country and formed theft rings.<\/p>\n

However, that\u2019s not the issue; the plan is to work as a technical intern for three years and then switch to the Specified Skilled Worker visa.<\/p>\n

That will allow me to continue working at the company for another five years.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, some people are choosing to switch to a different industry rather than work at that company under the Specific Skilled Worker program.<\/p>\n

The company that hired them went so far as to help them obtain the \u201cSpecified Skilled Worker\u201d status, and just as they were about to start working hard, they were betrayed.<\/p>\n

The company spends a considerable amount of money to have them obtain Specific Skilled Worker status.<\/p>\n

Despite that, I changed jobs to a company with better benefits...<\/p>\n

In that case, it would have been better to just stick with the Technical Intern Training Program from the start. (Up to 5 years)<\/p>\n

No matter how good the work environment is, that could still happen.<\/p>\n

\"Nepalese\"<\/p>\n

In addition, because the Specific Skilled Worker Category 2 qualification is extremely difficult to obtain,<\/p>\n

Apparently, there\u2019s a fairly high percentage of people who ask to be introduced to someone so they can marry a Japanese person.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This means we need to pay very close attention to the future status of the many Vietnamese technical interns currently in Japan.<\/p>\n

There are also many people who are truly kind-hearted.<\/p>\n

However, they didn't come here primarily to learn the craft.<\/p>\n

99.9% of them are here to make money.<\/p>\n

So just assume they don't have any of the emotional depth that Japanese people look for, lol.<\/p>\n

(People who don't know this might think, \"That can't be true, right?!\" but it's a fact. Japanese people are really stupid, so they get scammed overseas.)<\/p>\n

That's why they're very strict about money, and when it comes to work, they figure that if they can make money with as little effort as possible\u2014even if it means slacking off\u2014then so be it.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To begin with, our ways of thinking are completely different from those of Japanese people, so I think it\u2019s better not to get too emotional when dealing with them lol.<\/p>\n

That said, after being tricked so many times myself, I\u2019ve actually become pretty jaded ^^<\/p>\n

\"Technical<\/p>\n

In the future, if trainees or Specific Skilled Workers are allowed to change jobs, Japanese companies will face significant challenges.<\/p>\n

I do think it would be good if the unscrupulous operators were weeded out, but it\u2019s tough on the companies that are doing things the right way.<\/p>\n

We went to great lengths and spent a considerable amount of money to bring them all the way to Japan, only to have them get fired or change jobs shortly afterward.<\/p>\n

That must really take a toll on management, right?<\/p>\n

There are no Japanese people, and the trainees are leaving.<\/p>\n

Naturally, since salaries are higher in urban areas, I think people will tend to concentrate there.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A company that has people who bully others is out of the question, but,<\/p>\n

I think trainees will tend to stay with companies that take good care of them.<\/p>\n

It seems you\u2019ll need to pay close attention to the work environment\u2014such as poor working conditions, a bad company atmosphere, or not being properly trained\u2014as well.<\/p>\n

I think this is probably a situation where we need to take a good, hard look at our company's environment and other factors.<\/p>\n

\"Technical<\/p>\n

By the way, regarding the answer to the question above,<\/p>\n

1. How many people would be best right now?<\/p>\n

A: I think Nepalese people are great.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The reason is that the wider the wage gap with Japan, the harder they work and the more grateful they are for their pay.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Also, since I don't have a large network on Facebook or other platforms like Vietnamese people do, I get fewer negative messages and unsolicited offers!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2. Has anyone run away?<\/p>\n

A: We don't have any at the moment.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I hear that a lot from other companies lol<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3. Are you going to work?<\/p>\n

A: I work a lot.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

4. Are you serious?<\/p>\n

A: I think they take their work very seriously.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

5. Is there a cost involved?<\/p>\n

A: It\u2019s very expensive. They\u2019re just like Japanese people, and since you have to take care of their daily needs, it\u2019s an enormous amount of work.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I feel like Japanese people are already being treated like slaves. They\u2019re being driven to and from work, and even to the supermarket...<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

6. How many years have you been doing this?<\/p>\n

A: We have three Specific Skilled Workers in their sixth year who will start in July.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
