The other day, we completed an inspection by the Technical Intern Training Organization for the first time in three years.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Companies that hire technical interns once every three years are subject to an inspection.<\/p>\n
We will review all records and inspect everything related to payroll, paid time off, and attendance.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Of course, the union checks our daily reports and the like once every three months, so there aren't any major problems.<\/p>\n
It just seems like things are getting stricter every year, and the checks are getting tougher, lol.<\/p>\n
It goes without saying that everything should add up, but it\u2019s important to verify the items deducted from your paycheck and the basis for those deductions.<\/p>\n
Everything will be inspected.<\/p>\n
Including details about the dormitory.<\/p>\n
Well, in our case, we\u2019re pretty thorough, so I\u2019m pretty sure we\u2019ll be fine lol (I\u2019m confident in our paperwork).<\/p>\n

When you think about it, since we public sector workers are used to paperwork, even those of us who don\u2019t like it can handle it fairly smoothly, right?<\/p>\n
Since we're always asked to submit documents for technical intern trainees, we can hand them in at any time lol<\/p>\n
That's how neatly it's organized.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, it must be really tough for people outside the construction industry, I suppose.<\/p>\n
Since there probably aren't many opportunities like that.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Surprisingly, the Technical Intern Training Program in the construction industry is actually quite well-organized.<\/p>\n
Conversely, are companies that don't fit that description the ones that handle mostly private-sector projects, or perhaps those that handle only private-sector projects?<\/p>\n
That's what I think.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
People often refer to it as \u201cslavery,\u201d but in reality, technical interns are actually very well protected by the law, so<\/p>\n
For us public sector workers, it feels like we\u2019re the ones being asked, \u201cSo which one of us is the slave?\u201d<\/p>\n
I mean, people just say whatever they want, lol.<\/p>\n
It's something only employers can understand, though.<\/p>\n

They know that Japanese law favors workers, so they\u2019re being pretty bold, aren\u2019t they? lol<\/p>\n
Well, we'll do our best to keep up with them, though. (Not through violence or workplace harassment, lol.)<\/p>\n
I guess it's a case of give and take.<\/p>\n

This trend will continue to accelerate in the future.<\/p>\n
