Does your company perform machine maintenance?<\/p>\n

We generally handle our own maintenance.<\/p>\n
Well, when we have some free time, I\u2019d like us all to take our time working on the maintenance together so everyone can learn about how the machinery works.<\/p>\n
That said, while it\u2019s partly about the basics of machinery, it\u2019s also meant to help you learn about the tools and equipment needed for maintenance.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been thinking lately\u2014isn\u2019t this kind of maintenance ultimately what technical interns learn and take with them to be useful?<\/p>\n

The reason is that there aren't really many places in Vietnam or Nepal where slope protection has been implemented.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not that there\u2019s absolutely none, but the Japanese government...ODA<\/span><\/strong><\/span>There are some national highways around tunnels and in mountainous areas where we provide support, but I basically never see them.<\/p>\n \"ODA isAbbreviation for Official Development Assistance (ODA)<\/b>That's it. <\/p>\n So does that mean the skills that technical interns gain will be useful for maintenance work when they return to Vietnam or Nepal!?<\/p>\n As more and more hydraulic machinery enters developing countries, the maintenance industry is sure to flourish.<\/p>\n We make jigs here, replace hydraulic seals, and make and weld new pins (shafts).<\/p>\n I just can't help feeling that stuff like this is actually more helpful, lol.<\/p>\n Better maintained than the slope??<\/p>\n I'm here as a scaffolder, but I'm actually working on a slope, lol.<\/p>\n From the perspective of the people designing the internship program, they basically think that \u201cscaffolding is the only thing for roofers\u201d...<\/p>\n Well, since slope work is a type of construction work, I guess that's fine.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our trainees are engaged in the following technical training programs: scaffolding, well drilling, rebar installation, machining, metalworking, and machinery maintenance.<\/p>\n While most of the work involves drilling and well construction, there are also quite a few other types of projects.<\/p>\n Everyone knows the material well enough, so we're doing pretty well.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I don't know what kind of business they'll go into once they return to their home country, but,<\/p>\n I just hope it will be a career where I can be of some help, even if only a little.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n See you later.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hello, everyone.
