It's seriously hot out here!!!<\/p>\n

Thanks to the double-pipe drilling, we have water!<\/p>\n
Whenever I have a free moment, I water the plants around me!<\/p>\n
Just by sprinkling water, the cooling effect of evaporation makes it a little more comfortable (just a tiny bit).<\/p>\n

I'm standing on the scaffolding and there aren't any shadows at all!<\/p>\n
Maybe that's why I feel a little wobbly when the temperature hits its peak in the afternoon lol<\/p>\n

On top of that, the other day around 4:00 p.m., the battery in my fan-equipped work clothes ran out, so I was left wearing just a thick layer of clothes in this heat\u2014lol.<\/p>\n

I had my hood up, too, but I was drenched in sweat, so when I took it off, it was surprisingly cool.<\/p>\n

Opinions are split on work clothes with built-in fans: \u201cBetter than not wearing them,\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s nice to have them,\u201d \u201cThey keep you cool,\u201d \u201cI\u2019d rather not have them!\u201d<\/p>\n
I wonder what the reality is.<\/p>\n

We slope workers and anchor installers work entirely outdoors.<\/p>\n
If the fan is set to full speed or one notch below that, it\u2019s actually pretty cool, but,<\/p>\n
It's a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to low power over a long period of time.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
After all, we're working under the blazing sun.<\/p>\n
Also, I don't think you can really rely on the daytime high temperatures.<\/p>\n
I never touch any metal parts on the scaffolding without gloves lol<\/p>\n
I think it's about 50 degrees on the metal plate lol<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Apparently, when the air temperature exceeds your body temperature, the cooling effect of evaporation doesn't work, so it feels even hotter...<\/p>\n
We\u2019re actually starting to wonder if we might not be getting much benefit from our fan-equipped work clothes after all! lol<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been thinking that shadows might be just what we need on our set, so I\u2019m going to try creating some today ^^<\/p>\n
I'm thinking that if we measure the temperature and find a difference, it might make for a good experiment.<\/p>\n
