(Suzuka Mountains)<\/p>\n<p>And the water is so incredibly pure that it could even be sold as mineral water! (Water seeps slowly through the sand from the granite.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And if you drive about five minutes from here, you can easily see the watershed.<\/p>\n<p>That's where the river splits into the Mie Prefecture side and the Shiga Prefecture side, isn't it?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I believe that the challenge for us civil engineers is how to manage this water.<\/p>\n<p>Landslides caused by heavy rain can also be visualized as the soil \"exploding\" under the weight of the water.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn't slide along slowly.
