The reason this topic came up is that last year, I was working on-site as a first-tier subcontractor for our company, but,<\/p>\n
Printing the photos the general contractor requested when preparing the completion documents for that project!<\/p>\n
Even though the digital delivery of the more than 1,000 photos was technically complete,<\/p>\n
If you're going to print them, you'll need to make an album, right?<\/p>\n

I thought electronic submission would be a breeze, but who would\u2019ve thought it would end up being a full print job!! lol<\/p>\n
During the inspection, the inspector flips through the paper documents while licking his finger...<\/p>\n
(I absolutely hate it when inspectors touch the documents I worked so hard to put together with their licked fingers lol)<\/p>\n

Personally, I thought there weren't any prefectures or municipalities like that anymore.<\/p>\n
In Tokyo, I heard the same thing from the Agriculture and Forestry Office, lol (though I don't know if it's true).<\/p>\n
By the way, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Construction\u2019s \u201cGuidelines for Using the Construction Information Sharing System\u201d actually does exist, lol.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, the government just can't keep up with everything that's being done under national guidance.<\/p>\n
Even with Construction CALS, even though we took photos with digital cameras and submitted them electronically, the inspections were still paper-based.<\/p>\n
Back then, I remember thinking, \"What's that?\"<\/p>\n
I guess things have improved now, and the tests are done on computers, right? (I don't know of any prefectures where that isn't the case, lol)<\/p>\n

What about digital transformation in the construction industry?<\/p>\n
Are you working on improving efficiency??<\/p>\n

Can Construction ICT Solve the Labor Shortage??<\/p>\n
In reality, it takes time to implement.<\/p>\n
Private contractors are forced to do it without any say in the matter.<\/p>\n
But in the end, the government just can't keep up.<\/p>\n
Even if the private sector takes out loans to buy the necessary equipment and get things up and running, the government doesn't seem to have a clue about it lol<\/p>\n

It\u2019s all too common for clients to end up unable to use the as-built models, even after drone surveying and point cloud processing, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n
Well, this effect might not become apparent for several decades, but,<\/p>\n
To think that even now, in the early days of Construction DX, there are still local governments that haven\u2019t established a Construction CALS system...<\/p>\n

At this point, is it just negligence on the part of the government, or is there simply not enough government staff?<\/p>\n
Personally, though, I just can't help but think there aren't enough government offices.<\/p>\n
It goes without saying that having more government officials should lead to better public services, lol.<\/p>\n

Going forward, we will leverage IoT to advance construction CALS, ICT, and DX...<\/p>\n
Businesses are already investing and working hard to make the most of it!<\/p>\n
Actually, I wish government agencies would make more use of it, too ^^<\/p>\n
