It's hard to stay healthy there.<\/p>\n
Guess I'll just layer up for now, lol.<\/p>\n
Around this time, the end of the fiscal year starts to really heat up.<\/p>\n
Take care of your health\u2014and be careful not to drink too much or lose sleep!!<\/p>\n

But that's beside the point.<\/p>\n
How do you handle your electrical distribution panel?<\/p>\n

Are most of them leases (rentals)?<\/p>\n
We have our own electrical distribution panel at our place, but it's pretty beat up, lol. I guess it's about time to replace it\u2014or at least swap out the enclosure.<\/p>\n

We definitely need a distribution panel.<\/p>\n
This is because it is physically impossible to draw power directly from the generator.<\/p>\n
But did you know that there\u2019s a lead time of about half a year even for distribution panels?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I got a quote the other day, but it turns out it\u2019s the semiconductor shortage that everyone\u2019s been talking about for the past few years.<\/p>\n

To begin with, when we slope engineers hear the word \u201csemiconductor,\u201d what on earth does that even mean?<\/p>\n
That's what you'd think, right?<\/p>\n
A semiconductor looks like the one in the photo above.<\/p>\n
There are probably all kinds of them, but they're a type of electronic component.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Semiconductors are absolutely essential for today's electronic devices.<\/p>\n
It means that without this, there's nothing we can do.<\/p>\n
Both circuit breakers and magnetic switches are essentially blocks of semiconductors.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Let's just pretend the pandemic is over and really ramp up production to boost our national strength, right?<\/p>\n
I wonder what's wrong with Japan when it can't even make a distribution panel.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Since we can't repair the machines if we can't get the parts we used to be able to get right away, we're unable to perform repairs.<\/p>\n
I really hope things get back to normal soon!<\/p>\n
