Hello, everyone.<\/p>\n

This is Enta.<\/p>\n

Today is Coming-of-Age Day, isn't it?<\/p>\n

What was it like for all of you back then? lol<\/p>\n

What were you like when you were 20?<\/p>\n

I was just goofing off, lol.<\/p>\n

Looking back now, I wish I\u2019d taken my work more seriously, but I also think it was good that I had fun.<\/p>\n

I was doing my job\u2014more or less\u2014and I was also making sure to have plenty of fun.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Still, now that I\u2019m over 45, I find myself thinking, \u201cI wish I\u2019d traveled to more places back then,\u201d or,<\/p>\n

I find myself thinking that I should have traveled abroad more often.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

That said, the construction industry back in our day was incredibly exploitative, so we worked long hours for low pay.<\/p>\n

We'll be playing from Saturday night through Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

I was watching *Sazae-san* with a heavy heart, but then I was already falling asleep lol<\/p>\n

\"Seniors<\/p>\n

Still, we had a lot of fun, didn't we?<\/p>\n

I think it's because I was fortunate to have such great seniors.<\/p>\n

There were plenty of times back then when I thought, \u201cThis really pisses me off,\u201d but in the end, it was also what taught me the ropes,<\/p>\n

It was also my senior who taught me the joy of work.<\/p>\n

The other day, someone told me that ever since they started working at their company, they\u2019ve been getting scolded all the time.<\/p>\n

That person joined the company right out of college.<\/p>\n

I joined a company in an industry I love, but I\u2019m always getting scolded and yelled at over every little thing.<\/p>\n

And they won't tell me.<\/p>\n

Apparently, he grew to hate that job within six months.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

\"It's clearly the boss and the senior staff's fault,\" I said.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is the role of seniors and supervisors to guide their juniors; it is not their job to bully them.<\/p>\n

That junior will eventually surpass that senior and boss, and take a leadership position once again.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s how technical skills are passed down, after all, and teaching others to enjoy their work is part of the job.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If anything, I think \u201cfun\u201d is so important that it\u2019s worth teaching with a focus on the enjoyment of work.<\/p>\n

If you're having fun, the skills will just come naturally.<\/p>\n

Skill < Fun<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And since we're only human, we're bound to have our strengths and weaknesses!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s absolutely no need to work on your weaknesses\u2014let\u2019s just keep building on your strengths!!<\/p>\n

At our place, too, some people prefer working with drilling machines to sprayers, while others just love machines in general.<\/p>\n

Some people just don't like machines in general.<\/p>\n

You can only understand all of that by actually trying it out.<\/p>\n

What am I good at? It's surprisingly hard to tell.<\/p>\n

But you learn what you're good at and what you're not by trying things out, right?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

That\u2019s why seniors and supervisors should first let their juniors try everything out to see what they\u2019re good at and what they\u2019re not, and then just watch over them.<\/p>\n

When a failure occurs, identify what went wrong and monitor the situation.<\/p>\n

If you notice any dangerous signs (during hazardous work), stop what you're doing, point out that \u25cb\u25cb is dangerous, and keep a close eye on the situation.<\/p>\n

After that, as long as that junior employee keeps handling their workload, they\u2019ll naturally figure things out on their own, find a method they like, and continue to grow.<\/p>\n

I think this is important.<\/p>\n

Is your company able to teach junior employees about the joy and excitement of work?<\/p>\n

People grow on their own when you teach them things after they\u2019ve found something \u201cinteresting\u201d!<\/p>\n

Do you find yourself nagging over every little mistake?<\/p>\n

Are you being petty and mean?<\/p>\n

It's unthinkable that your seniors or bosses wouldn't back you up, right?<\/p>\n

Are you doing to your juniors the very things you didn't like when they were done to you?<\/p>\n

Is that interesting?<\/p>\n
