(Okayama Technical Intern Bullying Incident)<\/p>\n<p>That incident has been broadcast all over the world, and since it's on YouTube, it will remain there forever.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Because of that, Vietnam's popularity as a destination for Japanese travelers has dropped significantly, and<\/p>\n<p>In particular,<span style=\"font-size: 130%;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The worst for construction workers<\/span><\/strong><\/span>That's it.<\/p>\n<p>Even if we raise the eligibility requirements in the application guidelines, the number of applicants still doesn't reach twice the number of openings.<\/p>\n<p>It used to be three or four times as much, but now it\u2019s at a level where you wonder, \u201cWill it even reach 1.5 times?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>People may criticize Japan\u2019s construction industry these days, but it simply couldn\u2019t function without technical interns!<\/p>\n<p>I can say this with absolute certainty!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 150%;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The Japanese construction industry relies heavily on technical interns.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Even if people say it's slavery or whatever,<\/p>\n<p>Since it\u2019s already started and is moving forward, there\u2019s no other choice but to go along with it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If the construction work were carried out exclusively by Japanese workers, the number of skilled workers would drop significantly, resulting in a decrease in the number of projects that can be undertaken.<\/p>\n<p>If that happens, construction companies' unit prices will inevitably keep rising.<\/p>\n<p>If that happens, the wages of Japanese artisans will continue to rise.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, as the number of construction projects that can\u2019t be carried out increases, roads become bumpy and slopes are left to crumble unchecked,<\/p>\n<p>I think there will be negative consequences, such as road closures lasting for years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Then, once again, the media, eager to stir things up, will start going on and on about the construction industry, and...<\/p>\n<p>Local residents get swept up in it too, don't they?<\/p>\n<p>It really is a problem, isn't it?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 130%;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Even so, we're going to make a living in the construction industry!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We do slope work by installing retaining frames on steep, undulating slopes while adapting to the changing conditions!<\/p>\n<p>After all, public-sector organizations are all about trusting their superiors and forging ahead (though there are a few private-sector companies mixed in too, lol).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Still, I wish they\u2019d improve the working conditions and give technical interns a little more freedom, don\u2019t you?<\/p>\n<p>I feel like that might encourage more people to visit Japan, making it an even more attractive destination.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d like to continue teaching them more about Japanese technology.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By the way, it looks like the number of technical interns from Nepal, Indonesia, and Myanmar will continue to increase in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I actually really like Vietnamese people, though\u2014it\u2019s a shame...<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>See you later.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, everyone.
