Mortar Spraying for Private Homes and Commercial Construction, Part 2 (For the General Public)<\/a><\/p>\n Mortar Spraying for Private Homes and Commercial Construction, Part 3 (For the General Public)<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In this post, I\u2019ll continue from where I left off last time and write about sprayed mortar used in residential homes.<\/p>\n Those who perform spray application in residential homes<\/span><\/strong><\/span>I think there are some people like that, too.<\/p>\n If you watch it on YouTube,Sprayed mortar on soil<\/span><\/strong><\/span>Doing this will stop soil erosion, and<\/p>\n AndNo More Weed Removal<\/span><\/strong><\/span>...is how they explain it.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n To start with the basic facts,<\/p>\n In public works projects, it is standard practice not to apply sprayed mortar directly onto soil.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>That's it!<\/p>\n As part of recent trends, mortar is sometimes sprayed onto soil areas to eliminate the need for weeding.<\/p>\n However, this is only partial.<\/p>\n The basic purpose of sprayed mortar and sprayed concrete is to provide surface protection that prevents the weathering of bedrock.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n However,Sprayed mortar is a highly effective method for weed control.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n But the problem is the thickness!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Suppose we are to apply sprayed mortar to a soil slope that was originally overgrown with grass and had standing trees (roughly the size of shrubs) after clearing the slope.<\/p>\n What is the spray thickness in centimeters?<\/p>\n Even for private earthwork projects, I recommend using at least 7 centimeters!<\/p>\n If possible, 10 centimeters!<\/p>\n That's because, even if it's just 10 centimeters, in the worst-case scenario, this is what will happen after a few years.<\/p>\n The place is overgrown with plants\u2014there\u2019s even a pine tree growing on the upper step, lol.<\/p>\n This is because the slope, which used to be bedrock, has turned into soil and sediment over time, allowing vegetation to grow there.<\/p>\n It is also believed that cracks and other damage caused by aging allowed native seeds to enter those areas.<\/p>\n This shows what happens when you spray it onto soil\u2014it deteriorates over time!<\/p>\n This tends to happen especially on gentle slopes.<\/p>\n Plants are seriously tough! lol<\/p>\n <\/p>\n They also say that it helps prevent soil erosion.
