A common tendency among young managers who are new to the role or managers who aren't very competent is that,<\/p>\n
There are some people who are abnormally afraid of government offices, lol.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Being unnaturally obsequious, or preparing unnecessary documents without even understanding why.<\/p>\n
We just went ahead and did exactly what the inspector told us to do\u2014the same construction work as last year\u2014even though it was based on the inspector\u2019s subjective and unnecessary demands.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
After all, there\u2019s a good chance that person has already forgotten what the inspector said last year, and,<\/p>\n
There are a lot of things where you're like, \"Will I even get extra points for doing that?\" lol<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
When it comes to construction management, I believe the most important thing is whether the project proceeded according to the construction plan.<\/p>\n
Did everything proceed as planned while meeting the management standards for processes, finished products, quality, and photographs?<\/p>\n
And are we implementing management practices that complement that?<\/p>\n
That's what I think.<\/p>\n

As long as you handle that properly, there\u2019s no need to be intimidated by inspectors or government officials.<\/p>\n
Occasionally, there are supervisors working on contracts for NEXCO or the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism who get the wrong idea and act all high and mighty, but,<\/p>\n
I always find myself wondering, \u201cWhat on earth is that?\u201d lol<\/p>\n
(Though you do find them at government offices too, lol)<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Basically, as long as the specifications are in line with the standard specifications document, there shouldn't be any problems, so let's go in with confidence!<\/p>\n
However, when it comes to scoring points, that\u2019s a different story.<\/p>\n
Compliance with the General Specifications is the minimum requirement.<\/p>\n
Coming up with creative solutions from there is what it takes to score points.<\/p>\n

I hope they don't get intimidated by the government and start imposing unnecessary regulations lol<\/p>\n
Lately, I feel like inexperienced directors, in particular, are being made to do things that are completely unnecessary.<\/p>\n

Instead of just saying \u201cYes, I understand!\u201d to everything, let\u2019s keep asking questions, have frequent meetings, and work together.<\/p>\n
Well, there are definitely some \u201cstupid, arrogant contractors\u201d like the ones I mentioned above, lol.<\/p>\n
Still, the real question is: how can we incorporate it effectively!?<\/p>\n
It's important to win people over as naturally as possible, isn't it?<\/p>\n

To do that, it\u2019s important not to play your hand right from the start and to remember that you\u2019re both on equal footing.<\/p>\n
For people who say, \u201cThat\u2019s impossible~,\u201d it probably is impossible.<\/p>\n
I think people who say, \u201cI can do it!\u201d are already doing it.<\/p>\n
I hope they get used to it.<\/p>\n
