I went to this the other day.<\/p>\n

He was quite a person, wasn't he?<\/p>\n

I went to check out some new technologies and products again.<\/p>\n

I'd like to introduce that again. More on that another day lol<\/p>\n

\n

But that's beside the point.<\/p>\n

Things a Site Supervisor Must Never Do<\/h3>\n

Based on my experiences so far, a coach like this just won't work.<\/p>\n

This isn't limited to slope contractors, but a supervisor who does something like this is unfit for the job.<\/p>\n

1. They didn't come first thing in the morning.<\/h4>\n

There are also unavoidable circumstances.<\/p>\n

I never say \"always\" or \"definitely.\"<\/p>\n

Sometimes I oversleep, and other times I\u2019m exhausted from a drinking party the night before.<\/p>\n

However, Director Dekiru is on set almost every day, starting first thing in the morning.<\/p>\n

And even if there\u2019s a delay for some reason, we\u2019ve already contacted the craftsmen the day before or on the day itself, so there won\u2019t be any issues with the schedule.<\/p>\n

As long as there is clear communication between the craftsmen and the supervisor, we can provide as much support as needed.<\/p>\n

2. Have a skilled craftsman do your work.<\/h4>\n

It's fine if it's just temporary. Sometimes the supervisor has to leave to help out at other job sites.<\/p>\n

However, insisting that craftsmen do that all the time is the same as not working at all.<\/p>\n

If that person is really busy, it's possible to help out.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s if they\u2019re busy. But directors like that are almost always free from the get-go.<\/p>\n

3. Delaying on-site preparations for personal reasons.<\/h4>\n

Work on-site is carried out under a construction contract between the general contractor and the subcontractor.<\/p>\n

Since this is not technically a contract with the director, you are not allowed to delay it for personal reasons.<\/p>\n

However, as long as you make it clear in advance that you absolutely cannot be available on [Month] [Day]\u2014even if you just discuss the details\u2014there won\u2019t be any problems.<\/p>\n

You can adjust it that way.<\/p>\n

It's difficult to be prepared for something that happens suddenly.<\/p>\n

4. Make them take their trash home.<\/h4>\n

We generally send waste generated at the job site to an industrial waste disposal company and obtain a manifest.<\/p>\n

You are required to report this using Credas in accordance with the Construction Recycling Act.<\/p>\n

There are supervisors who, by claiming that something is missing, make subcontractors take it back with them.<\/p>\n

A small amount is one thing, but a quantity that makes you go, \u201cWhat?!\u201d is a problem.<\/p>\n

By the way,Credas was discontinued on March 31, Heisei 30.<\/span><\/strong>...is being done.<\/p>\n

5. When my boss is around, I work with a bit more enthusiasm.<\/h4>\n

That really hurts, doesn't it? (lol)<\/p>\n

The craftsmen are giving you the cold shoulder, aren't they?<\/p>\n

6. Not saying anything at the time, but complaining about it later.<\/h4>\n

This is a bit of a problem, isn't it?<\/p>\n

Is this what they call \"rock-paper-scissors after the fact\"? There's just nothing I can do about it now.<\/p>\n

That's proof that process management isn't being done properly.<\/p>\n

7. The way they talk to the craftsmen is super condescending.<\/h4>\n

You know the type, right?<\/p>\n

He's always acting all high and mighty. Does he think he's some kind of big shot, or what?<\/p>\n

I'm not really comfortable around people like that myself.<\/p>\n

8. They try to get you to do work you didn't agree to do for free, acting as if it's \"something you'd normally do anyway.\"<\/h4>\n

This won't work. As long as we're part of a company, having people move around costs money.<\/p>\n

It's just common sense.<\/p>\n

That said, craftsmen are human, too. If that director asks, I\u2019d love to do it for him!<\/p>\n

There are some directors who are so good you\u2019d say, \u201cI\u2019d even work for free!\u201d<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re the kind of director who makes us say, \u201cWe\u2019d do our best for that person,\u201d or \u201cIf it were that person,\u201d then we\u2019ll give it our all!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s always directors like this who say, \u201cIt\u2019ll cost a lot to hire me, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n

9. He tells the company that he does everything himself.<\/h4>\n

A director like that is truly the worst. I guess as long as he\u2019s happy, that\u2019s all that matters to him.<\/p>\n

However, this can lead to disputes later on, such as when the terms turn out to be different from what was originally agreed upon.<\/p>\n

10. I always head home early on weekends.<\/h4>\n

It could also mean they aren't there during the day. What is a sense of responsibility, anyway?<\/p>\n

11. Poor on-site management skills.<\/h4>\n

At this point, there's nothing I can do. Maybe it'd be better if they weren't here anymore (lol).<\/p>\n

12. His \"Look how awesome I am!\" act is really over the top.<\/h4>\n

I don't understand what's so great about it. Probably no one really understands you.<\/p>\n

13. I don't have any management tools.<\/h4>\n

What are you going to do with the management tools you borrowed from the subcontractor?<\/p>\n

What are you going to do if that subcontractor goes out of business?<\/p>\n

Am I going to rent it again??<\/p>\n

Be sure to bring the bare minimum of maintenance tools.<\/p>\n

14. Demanding a bribe!<\/h4>\n

This is a criminal case involving embezzlement!<\/p>\n

You absolutely shouldn't do this, but when it comes to the relationship between a subcontractor and the foreman who assigns the work...<\/p>\n

However, those days are long gone.<\/p>\n

These days, if you deliver solid results, the company will recognize them and give you a raise!<\/p>\n

This is just the way it is.<\/p>\n

Exchanging money with a subcontractor by taking advantage of one\u2019s position is a crime.<\/p>\n

You absolutely must not do that!<\/p>\n

There are all kinds of directors.<\/p>\n

After all, we're all human, so the workplace runs smoothly because we make up for each other's shortcomings.<\/p>\n

Of course, craftsmen have their good points and their bad points.<\/p>\n

Craftsmen want to work well with the supervisor, too.<\/p>\n

If I'm going to do it anyway,I want to do work that I enjoy<\/span><\/strong><\/span>Isn't that right!<\/p>\n

However, the truth is that even if one or two of the above apply, it\u2019s not a problem.<\/p>\n

It just means that if we support each other and help one another, there won't be any problems.<\/p>\n
