It's something you don't get to experience very often, and it's really hard work, but I'm tying everything together with PP rope.<\/p>\n
I'm sure you can guess why\u2014if I drop it, it's game over lol<\/p>\n

That's why I use PP rope for everything\u2014from my personal belongings to my tools.<\/p>\n
It's a way to adapt to working in this kind of environment.<\/p>\n
We recently installed ground anchors at a site like this, and the biggest challenge was the tension test!<\/p>\n
Normally, we conduct verification tests and suitability tests to monitor the elongation of the tendon (anchor body length).<\/p>\n
But we're out on the ocean here!<\/p>\n

All of the scaffolding is made from sheet piles, and all of the pieces are connected.<\/p>\n
I can't get a fixed point.<\/p>\n
How should you handle situations like this?<\/p>\n

That\u2019s the situation, but this time I explained to the government office that I couldn\u2019t do it because there was simply no way to make it happen, so I wouldn\u2019t be doing it.<\/p>\n
It's because I don't want to pretend I did something I simply couldn't do.<\/p>\n
We avoided this because managing things this way would cause problems for the company that ends up getting the next order.<\/p>\n

This happens a lot on site: people pretend they can do something they actually can't, then take a photo...<\/p>\n
Sometimes they make it look as if they're in charge.<\/p>\n

Instructions from the General Contractor and Instructions from the Government Agency<\/span><\/strong><\/span>If there is one, I'll do it lol<\/p>\n I'm not really convinced, but it's my job, lol.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Things like this usually end up causing problems later on, and there\u2019s nothing you can do about it once you\u2019re told about it after the fact.<\/p>\n I fully understand that even if the construction work itself is sound, as long as it\u2019s listed under construction management, there\u2019s a sense that it must be managed.<\/p>\n However, since there are some things we simply cannot do, I think it makes perfect sense to note that in the meeting minutes and seek guidance from the government office.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It\u2019s better than having a careless lie (from management) lead to strange consequences later on.<\/p>\n Since this kind of thing happens quite often in my line of work, I want to handle it as honestly as possible.<\/p>\n When something doesn't work, either come up with an alternative (non-standard) management method to make it work, or<\/p>\n Should I consult the local government office on the assumption that it can't be done?<\/p>\n In any case, it\u2019s best to consult with government agencies or the general contractor.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The worst thing you can do is to rush ahead based solely on your own ideas without consulting anyone!<\/p>\n This is the most dangerous scenario and can lead to irreversible consequences later on, so please be careful.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n See you later<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hi everyone, this is Enta.
