Well, I just can't drill a hole, lol.<\/p>\n<p>It had been a while since I\u2019d worked on a challenging project where I had to go through a lot of trial and error, and I learned a great deal from the experience.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This was a situation on-site where we were able to reaffirm what to do in situations like this and what to do if things turn out a certain way.<\/p>\n<p>Especially when the casing is clamped against the mountain, even in the low mode of the rotary percussion drill,<\/p>\n<p>The spin was a close call.<\/p>\n<p>The push-and-pull was really right on the edge\u2014in the worst-case scenario, I was on the verge of getting stuck!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5365\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/caa15c8b89127c598144fd550f8b7254.jpg\" alt=\"Rotary Percussion\" width=\"600\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/caa15c8b89127c598144fd550f8b7254.jpg 600w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/caa15c8b89127c598144fd550f8b7254-300x230.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m especially careful when drilling holes like this.<\/p>\n<p>And at times like this, I tend to doubt the gauges, lol.<\/p>\n<p>But since instruments are more sensitive than we humans are, I guess this is exactly the kind of situation where we should trust them, lol.<\/p>\n<p>(Not trusting the instruments and doubting them is human error\u2014it stems from overconfidence.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For now, since we've installed the anchor and the grout has been properly injected,<\/p>\n<p>I was able to stay focused without losing concentration. (Completed the previous day)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All that remains is the tension on the 40-meter anchor.<\/p>\n<p>As you'd expect, working on a 40-meter-class vessel requires a lot of care and attention, so it was tough, but we managed to get it done.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Anchor shops\u2014or rather, drilling shops\u2014are fighting a battle out of sight (inside the holes).<\/p>\n<p>It's hard for anyone other than the operator to understand this struggle, but,<\/p>\n<p>The mental and brain fatigue from surgery is off the charts, lol.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Not being able to see is really exhausting.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s exactly why I think it\u2019s such an appealing job.<\/p>\n<p>I guess the most glamorous job in ground anchor construction is definitely the operator's, isn't it?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46359\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1d4d520884e28b0c686ebea57095caa6.jpg\" alt=\"Drilling Operation\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1d4d520884e28b0c686ebea57095caa6.jpg 600w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1d4d520884e28b0c686ebea57095caa6-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To all operators across the country: We might not be able to dig today either.<\/p>\n<p>However, only those who can withstand that pressure will be able to conquer that mountain!<\/p>\n<p>It feels like things won't go smoothly until I've been through the trials of the mountains, but,<\/p>\n<p>Don't give up\u2014keep an eye on the gauges, push and pull the levers, turn the dials, and give it your all!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>See you later<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>*There was an error preventing comments from being posted, but I think we\u2019ve fixed it now.
